Aquila Bistro & Cafe

Crema's Take
“Aquila Bistro & Cafe is a charming neighborhood spot where the real stars are the exceptional pastries—like their standout cinnamon rolls and perfectly balanced lemon cookies—and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it ideal for lingering over breakfast or settling in with your laptop. While coffee quality seems inconsistent, the full breakfast menu and fresh juices more than compensate, and the attentive service ensures you'll be taken care of whether you're fueling a work session or meeting a friend.”

The waffle was fine, but the coffee was extremely poor. Either the beans were too old or they had absorbed flavors from nearby food. Unfortunately, I ordered two cups—hoping the first was a fluke—but the second was just as bad. The restaurant itself is very large yet completely empty, which in hindsight should probably have been a warning.
Maybe we just ate here on a day that the staff called off, otherwise ppl already prese t came in all at once, but when we walked in no one was in line, they all ahd already ordered and most had drinks. 🤔 Other than being able to order right away thats where it all went down hill. Super slow drink and food service. You could tell that the guy taking the orders and running the food was trying his best. But it took 20 minutes just to get our chai latte and a vanilla latte The vanilla latte wasn't even warm!!!! Our wake up breakfasts were ok. Tater tots extremely salty and we got 8 each. For almost paying $50 just not worth it. The atmosphere is fine. Not a lot of tables for the amount of space. Wouldn't come back.
Perfect place to enjoy delectable pastries and a refreshing juice. The lemon cookie is soft and the filling is just right, the cinnamon roll is nothing like we've ever tried before - it's the epitome of awesome, the fig and chocolate chip cookie is so delicious, and the open faced crossaint with fruit filling was just absolutely delicious (this was my Welsh mother's favorite of the night). The staff were professional and friendly. I stopped by to pick up some pastries to share with family and friends and will be back again, the bistro is clean, you can see them preparing your drink, they have a show case of pastries, and some niche drinks in a cooler, pasta sauces and other pantry items for sale. Definitely worth stopping by and grabbing a quick bite to go or staying to eat!
This is a great spot for getting work done. Has a calm atmosphere and very laptop-friendly. I went for a late breakfast and had the avocado toast. The service is excellent. Food was served quickly and was pretty good. I think better bread would significantly elevate this avocado toast. Would return for the work-friendly atmosphere and great service.
Excellent neighborhood bistro. We’ve been working through their menu over the past few weeks and everything has been excellent. This morning I had the wonderful San Giovanni Breakfast Sandwich (egg, smoked Turkey, grilled halloumi, beet dip with mixed greens) and my partner had the Avocado Toast. My only tip would be to note that the Smash Burger is by default *only* meat and cheese and doesn’t come dressed with greens and tomatoes. Enjoy!
