Prolece Tea
19 S Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA
Crema's Take
“This late-night Pasadena spot is a lifesaver for Old Town tea cravings after 10 PM, offering a cozy grab-and-go experience with an efficient order kiosk and inviting atmosphere complete with pillows and seating. The specialty drinks shine when they're fresh—particularly the tiramisu house milk tea, which layers creamy, indulgent flavors that actually taste like the dessert—though consistency can be hit or miss, especially if you're catching them during a slower evening shift.”

My partner was nice enough to get this for us to share as a sweet treat. Unfortunately, it was lacking in some ways. The tea itself was pretty good. The main area of improvement is the flavoring of the boba. The boba lacked so much flavor. Its blandness ruined the drink quite a bit. We both just lifted the straw to avoid the boba when we drank from it.
Came at 10:30 PM craving boba like crazy but they gave me basically melted ice water with a bit of orange color 😂 I even saw them take it outta the fridge, so it must’ve been made forever ago. There was literally NO thai tea flavor, just watery and sad. Felt like they splashed one drop of thai tea into a cup of melted ice lol. Please don’t serve drinks that have been sitting there waiting for someone to buy 🥲 Took a couple sips and threw it away.
I’m often in old town at night, and this is one of the few dessert/drink shops still open. The location is well-lit and clean, with a few seats inside. Mostly a grab and go place, but you never feel like you’re in a rush here. No public restroom. Staff is polite and efficient. Drinks are prepared fairly quickly and prices are decent for the quality you get. Street parking gets hard to find but it’s very close to the schoolhouse garage at $1 for 2 hours. Swing by for a sweet treat!
We had some good fruit tea here! It’s so convenient with the order kiosk with little to no wait. It’s a small space but cozy and inviting with the pillows and tables. I’d come back for a treat sometime
I had a tea-rific adventure. The tiramisu house milk tea is a must have. The flavors blended harmoniously, creating a creamy and indulgent drink reminiscent of the classic Italian dessert. It was rich without being overwhelming, and the tea base added a subtle depth of flavor. The Strawberry Kiss with Boba had the fresh strawberry taste was vibrant and refreshing, complemented perfectly by the chewy boba pearls. The self-ordering kiosk made the whole process convenient and efficient. I could browse the menu at my own pace, make adjustments to my order, and complete the transaction effortlessly.
