Crema's Take

This quiet neighborhood gem in Pittsburgh strikes that rare balance between being genuinely welcoming for a solo work session and genuinely pleasant for a casual meetup, with a laid-back vibe that actually delivers on the promise. Their matcha lattes and pastries punch above their weight for the price, and the studious-but-not-stuffy crowd means you'll find the kind of calm focus that overstimulated coffee drinkers actually crave. Whether you're catching a quick bite on your way or settling in with a book, the clean, well-organized space and friendly staff make it feel like a neighborhood staple rather than just another caffeine stop.

Quiet, neighborhood coffee house with a sizeable menu, light bites and a friendly staff. I enjoyed my brief visit. I'd love to stop by for a longer stay and do some work or read.

Ymmy Green Tea (Matcha) Latte. Vibe is laid back and great. Came at 9am on a Sat. Just what my overly stimulated mom brain needs after the holiday chaos.

Clean and cozy vibes. The cafe interior was well setup and really quiet. Most customers were studying and not rowdy which I appreciated. The drink portions here are great and very well priced. Cookies were a bit dry and hard. Would come again.

this cafe is identical to 61C which is in Squirrel Hill which I frequently visit. So, in a way, it felt like a déjà vu. if you’re wondering, guess they named after the bus routes. I went on a weekday evening, and I was the only Customer at the cafe for a good hour and a half. Towards closing, a couple of other customers came in. There is plenty of seating inside, or you can choose to sit outside where there are a couple of chairs. I got the ice latte and also an oatmeal raisin cookie. Then general have a large cookie and a biscotti menu, and I always prefer the cookie because they generally quite nice. What I find a little bit problematic with both the cafes is the attention to detail. I asked for my coffee to be sweetened with honey, which they agreed to. I also asked for my cookie to be heated. Once I took a sip of my coffee, I realised that they had not added honey, and I had to ask them to do that explicitly. Also, after heating my cookie, they forgot to give it to me, so I had to go and ask for it again. The barista actually did seem sweet, but I just think it’s just a lack of experience. The coffee in general was also below average. I’m not sure what went wrong because it seemed a lot watered down. Maybe the ratio of coffee to milk was of which is a shame because the flavour was actually quite nice. The good thing about both these cafes are that they are open till late in the evening when a lot of other cafes close down and in that sense, they don’t really have competition after a certain point in the day. I just think they need to work a little bit more on their customer experience.

First time at this one and it was nice. Got a chicken salad on a croissant and some biscottis to take home. The chicken salad was fine, a solid savory choice. Not the best or worst I have had. We got a few smoothies and a green tea matcha latte which were all good. The mango smoothie was lacking in mango flavor though. The staff were patient while we decided what to get. Cleanliness was ok but not great. There is no parking lot so you can park on the street. I didn't get coffee this time cause it is a bit pricey for what I normally pay for which I already mentioned in a different review.
