Clark Street Bakery

Crema's Take
“Clark Street Bakery is a leisurely neighborhood spot in LA where you can settle in with a genuinely excellent matcha latte or pour-over coffee alongside standout pastries, particularly their Swedish cardamom buns and buttery almond croissants. The space has ample seating perfect for lingering after yoga or meeting friends, though the premium pricing ($20 for coffee and a bagel) makes it more of a special-occasion treat than a daily habit. Their strength lies in the quality of both their specialty drinks and their scratch-made breads and pastries—folks rave about the sourdough just as much as the lattes.”

Matcha latte was really good and very strong. Also got some pastries also good and breakfast burritos! Pretty pricey so not for everyday lunch.
Cute place. $20 for coffee n bagel. Ample seating.
Absolutely love this place for their pastries and bread alone. My favorite pastry is the Swedish cardamom bun, and their sourdough bread is fantastic as well. When I want something savory I go for their simple everything bagel that gets the job done. I don’t normally get the coffee here, as the times I’ve been there they only seem to have drip. The staff is also always very friendly. I really like this place for the vibes. Very simple straight forward cafe, bakery, and unpretentious vibes, which can be a rarity here in LA.
I visit this place every time after yoga in the next building. They truly have the best almond croissants! And whenever they have pistachio+saffron croissants, I’m just the happiest person in the world. Additionally, their barista always makes perfect lattes 👏🏻 ✨
In Short, It’s a good spot but I wouldn’t wait in line to eat or to sit. Quickie type place for pasties and sandwiches. With a few more details, There was a little bit of a wait to get to the cashier to order. Normal line nothing crazy. Staff delivering the sandwiches were nice but behind the counter it felt a bit gloomy. Regardless let’s move on to the food. The almond croissant had a good flavor but it felt more like a scone rather than a flaky croissant. I liked it but not the texture I was expecting. The breakfast sandwich was fantastic. Loved it. Prob that’s what you should order if you’re reading this. Parking might be a bit challenging and if you’re going there to sit on your laptop or work, most tables are already taken and don’t get up very often. Nonetheless, decent spot.
