Crema's Take

This cozy French-inspired cafe in upper Montclair strikes that rare balance between a serious coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming hangout, with standout drinks like their Mexican latte and smooth iced lattes that keep regulars coming back. The calm, inviting atmosphere and warm staff make it equally perfect for a focused work session with your laptop or a leisurely afternoon with a book and cup of tea. Fair warning: there's a stairs-only entrance that might be tricky with strollers, but once inside, you'll find the kind of hidden gem energy that makes stumbling upon Eagle Rock feel like discovering your new favorite spot.

Very decent cafe with a good list of coffee options. Cozy French residence atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a stroller and the only available entrance was up the stairs. There is only a 15 minute parking zone in front of the cafe but street parking is easy to find.

I love the atmosphere here… it’s the perfect spot to relax with a cup of tea, get some work done on my laptop, or just sit and read a book. The environment is always calm and inviting, which makes it my go-to place for studying. It does get busy during the day, but I’ve always managed to find a seat, and it’s absolutely worth it. Great drinks, great vibe, and a space that really makes you want to stay a while.

This place is great. I only gave 3 stars for food because I've only tried one thing (cheddar scallion scone - yum), but the iced latte is delicious and the Mexican latte (I think thats the name) has a definite spicy kick but is also good. The staff is awesome, shout out to Mario. There are multiple places to sit, work, chill, vibe. The bathroom is clean and cute. They offer lots of coffee options plus light snacks/baked goods. They also have outdoor seating and an overall friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Cute little hidden gem with amazing coffee and a relaxed/ inspiring space. The staff was very warm and welcoming! I had a delicious Carmel Latte while I took a conference call. The general area is little in the cozy side, but there is a nice living room which I had to myself so it worked out. The bulk of this venue is used daily or subscription co-working which is great if you need to retreat and focus. But if you are looking to send off some emails, chat with a friend or client the general will work great
