Crema's Take

Tucked near the Venice Pier, this independent spot draws a devoted crowd for its thoughtfully made coffee and kitchen that takes care with details like gluten-free options and quality ingredients—think caprese bagels and avocado egg toast that actually deliver on flavor. The vibe here is genuinely welcoming, with a staff that feels genuinely invested in getting your order right and a coffee program that consistently earns praise for perfectly balanced drinks, whether you're ordering a hot mocha with oat milk or something more adventurous.

They swapped out my ciabatta bread for multi grain on an open face sandwich and charged me $2 for that. They really try to milk you for all you got. Food was ok but lacking in the salmon. Id would say for $21 this dish was absolutely not worth it.

Bad. This is a deli not a cafe. Food is terrible: bagels are stale, deli ingredients are poor quality, they fry prosciuto like bacon which makes it horribly chewy, egg omelette is weird and spongy. Nothing is right. I ordered an avocado toast and this is what I got 🤦🏻‍♀️ Service is fast and not very careful (they optimize for speed not quality). Not recommended. Definitely a tourist trap that attract large crowds just because of its location right by the beach and opening hours (they open at 8am when everything else in the area is closed so of course people will go there)

Located near the Venice Pier, The cow’s end has nothing but a pleasant smell of coffee and delicious food. :) We stopped here for coffee and because they had gluten-free options on the menu, my wife got a gluten-free avocado toast and a gluten-free donut to go. The staff was very friendly and you could tell this is a place that locals and visitors alike spend time and enjoy the ambience. When we were there, we met friendly dogs and local people.
