The Kimbell Cafe
3333 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth, TX
Crema's Take
“Nestled inside the Kimbell Art Museum, this cafe punches way above typical museum food with fresh, thoughtfully prepared fare like creamy quiches and excellent soups at remarkably reasonable prices. The real magic happens during their budget-friendly afternoon tea service ($35 for two), where you can linger over sandwiches, scones, and sweets surrounded by art—it's the kind of low-key elegant experience that feels special without pretension. Staff go the extra mile whether you're solo for lunch or organizing a group celebration, and the combination of quality food, attentive service, and that vibrant museum energy makes this a genuinely worth-the-visit spot in Fort Worth.”

Afternoon tea… but make it budget‑bougie.Tucked inside the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, this afternoon tea is just $35 for two people, with sandwiches, scones, sweets, and a pot of tea while you’re steps away from masterpieces by Monet and Picasso. I gave it a solid 4/5: the food is simple and not “hotel fancy tea” level, but for the price and the setting it’s an incredible value. Would you try museum tea over a fancy hotel tea for this price?
They serve great food and drinks. My salad is very fresh and crisp and the quiche was warm and creamy. Before you come check out the hours. We were early because they open at 12:00 on Friday.
We hosted a bridal shower high tea for 15 guests. The cafe set aside tables for us and the staff was very attentive to our needs. We were able to bring an outside cake and flowers. Our guests enjoyed the delicious food and tea selection. The space itself was also so beautiful it didn’t need much decoration. I can’t wait to go back for a casual lunch at another time.
Great little cafe. The servers were very friendly and we really enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh and tasty, especially the fruit. We will definitely come back!
Unlike most museum cafes, this one exudes a certain vibrant energy that makes it a great place to grab a bite, particularly lunch. Menu is very limited, but the soup is usually excellent. If the weather permits, sit outside in the courtyard. Service is efficient, and you pay for what you pick. The two entree option makes more sense.
