The Nest
1055 Boulevard Of The Arts, Sarasota, FL
Crema's Take
“Perched on Sarasota's waterfront with walking pathways and bay views, The Nest is a hidden gem where you can linger over a nitro cold brew and a carefully crafted breakfast sandwich without rushing. The open, airy grounds right next to the Van Wezel make it an ideal spot to gather with family or friends, though be prepared for artisanal pricing that reflects their thoughtful approach to both coffee and food.”

If you are willing to pay $11 for a minimal lettuce wrap, this is the place. I now understand why the cashier gave me a strange look when I ordered the Vegetable Wrap with hummus. There was no noticeable hummus or pico de gallo in the entire wrap. When I asked the owner for a bit more hummus, he refused, stating, "This is how we always do it." I responded that while I understood their process, I just wanted a small amount more so I could actually taste it in the wrap. He still refused. Ultimately, there was nothing appealing about the food. It's a real shame because the location is absolutely fantastic.
really great spot for some breakfast. we had a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and nitro cold brew coffee. both delicious.
The Nest is a hidden Sarasota gem on the waterfront. Well thought out and right next to bay and the Van Wezel, it has walking pathways, seating areas, large, open, common grounds, a small sand beach with seating, a playground, clean modern facilities, including a cafe, and lending library. it's a perfect place for a short walk or to walk the dog or just enjoy the sunset over the bay. they also have daytime events like yoga, music, and other activities. I do wish their cafe was open for longer hours. It was closed by the time we arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night
The bay is an excellent place to go and be with your family and friends. You can do so much there. I recommend if you have the time and Sarasota to bring her family and have a great time.
I enjoyed the best breakfast sandwich that I’ve ever had at The Nest at the Bay. It had egg, cheese, bacon, guacamole and pico de gallo. It was savory and fresh and very satisfying. I highly recommend this restaurant for delicious food and a lovely view.
