Crema's Take

This San Francisco spot blends a coffee shop with an adjacent fruit and vegetable stand, creating a uniquely integrated experience where you can grab an expertly-crafted drink alongside fresh produce. Reviewers rave about the speed and quality of signature drinks like their tang hulu, which arrives in seconds without sacrificing care, though the shop seems to inspire strong and varied opinions on their seasonal offerings. It's the kind of neighborhood gem that works equally well as a quick caffeine stop or a leisurely browsing destination if you're exploring the surrounding shops.

Our experience was a very ups and downs moment. On one hand the tang Hulu was amazing and took them about 2 seconds to bring out. On the other, the boba was really bad and it took them a long time to make it. We appreciated that the fruit was very fresh and you can tell that all of the tang Hulu was very fresh, but the boba just tasted like milk without flavor.

Visited January 2nd, 2026 While waiting to get my hair done at Mark’s Hair Salon with Shirley a few doors down, we had about a twenty minute wait and decided to take a short walk. That is when we came across Fruitful Dream in Chinatown, and I am so glad we did. We were immediately drawn in by the bright colorful signage and the beautiful display of fresh fruit tanghulu on the counter. It instantly caught our attention and felt welcoming and cheerful. My daughters, who are six and seven, became so excited the moment they saw the fruit jelly tanghulu. Their faces lit up with joy and anticipation, which made the experience even more special for us as parents. There were two young women working at the counter and they were incredibly kind, friendly, and patient. They took the time to explain that the fruit jelly tanghulu was made with fresh fruit, which made us feel even better about treating our girls. We happily ordered one for each of them. I was immediately drawn to the mango coconut sago drink, which sounded refreshing and comforting at the same time. My husband chose the mango lychee juice. We were invited to wait inside while the drinks were being prepared, and the entire interaction felt warm and thoughtful. The customer service was truly excellent and made us feel welcomed rather than rushed. When our drinks were ready, they exceeded our expectations. Everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and clearly made with care. The kids loved their fruit jelly tanghulu and could not stop smiling, and both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. We all left feeling happy, satisfied, and grateful that we stumbled upon Fruitful Dream that day. It was a lovely experience from start to finish, and we are so glad we decided to walk in. I would absolutely return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The Fruitful Dreams drink shop is actually a combined store with the fruit and vegetable stand next door, also called Fruitful Dreams. Good place to get fresh fruit and produce, too

Thangulus are great. Didn’t enjoy the sugar cane very much, maybe because im Brazilian and the sugar cane here have different flavor not sure but was a very delicate flavor what is way different from what I expected. Also I ask to add lemon or lime juice on it and they only add a lemon slice inside.

3/18 I returned to Fruitful Dreams today and tried their Mango Pomelo Sago (楊枝甘露), a dessert I loved in Hong Kong. It was just as delicious! While the mango had a slightly tart edge, it was incredibly refreshing. Fruitful Dreams has definitely become my favorite juice shop, and I plan to explore their full menu. 3/13 I visited Fruitful Dreams, a new fruit and juice shop in Chinatown, and had their papaya smoothie. It was incredibly delicious, reminiscent of the papaya milk I enjoyed in Taiwan. I could tell it was made with real papaya!
