Crema's Take

Tucked into Manitou Springs, Homa Cafe + Bar feels like a creative escape with its lush hanging plants and calm, grounded aesthetic that somehow manages to be both modern and deeply welcoming. Beyond the standout specialty drinks and creative breakfast spreads, what really sets this place apart is the care in their food—expect surprisingly elevated fare like perfectly executed fried cauliflower bowls and thoughtfully crafted sandwiches that go far beyond typical cafe fare. Whether you're lingering with a laptop, celebrating something special, or just hungry for genuinely impressive food, this is the kind of neighborhood spot that exceeds expectations in every direction.

This place is tasty! Make sure to try their steak sandwich; it's super good! The only thing is we wish the sandwich bread was thinner. The atmosphere is super cute! Lots of hanging plants and natural light that gives the space an organic feel. Great place to enjoy some lunch!

I got the fried cauli bowl with salmon and I cannot express how good it was (I must admit that I was super hungry, so I’ll test again at a regular hunger level later). The cauliflower was perfectly flavored and fried, and the salmon was perfection. I’ll be back, and I can’t wait.

I was genuinely impressed by the food here! Going in, I expected the usual overpriced, underwhelming hotel fare, but this spot completely surprised me. I ordered the Homie Sandwich (over hard egg was my choice, they are made to your liking) along with a Smoke and Soul cocktail, and both were outstanding. The cocktail struck a perfect balance—smoky, fruity, and with just the right touch of spice. The sandwich was packed with flavor and so good I didn’t want to put it down. Portion sizes were spot-on, and the potatoes on the side were exactly as promised: crispy, seasoned with peppers and onions, and full of flavor—so much better than the bland, oily potatoes you usually get elsewhere. Pricing was on the higher end—I spent about $47 per person, including tip and a $5 slice of pound cake—but for the quality, it felt mostly justified. The only drawback, and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, was the bussing area. It was overflowing with dirty dishes, and gnats were swarming around, which unfortunately made their way toward my table. Not a deal-breaker, but definitely took away from the otherwise excellent experience.

We came to Homa Café to celebrate Mother’s Day, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot. From the moment we walked in, the space gave off a calm, grounded energy—modern, stylish, but still very inviting. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable, whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special occasion like we were. The food was amazing. Their menu is incredibly niche, in a good way—offering unique dishes you won’t find at your typical café or brunch spot. Everything we tried tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It’s clear they put a lot of intention into every ingredient. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all menu. It’s something you could come back to multiple times and discover something new each visit. The ordering process is a bit different: you grab a menu and order at the bar—there’s no traditional server or host. But honestly, that adds to the laid-back charm. The staff at the bar were super friendly, helpful, and patient while we asked questions. They even gave some great suggestions. I also appreciated how inclusive the environment felt. You could come here with your family, on a date, or even solo to work or relax. It’s got a great community vibe, with people from all walks of life enjoying their meals and just vibing out. Overall, Homa Café really exceeded expectations. It made our Mother’s Day feel special without being over-the-top or fussy. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good food, good energy, and a unique Colorado Springs experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow! I didn’t expect AMAZING food, great service and super cool atmosphere! Would definitely recommend and planning to go back! Update, we went back for breakfast! I cannot say how amazing their breakfast was! Absolutely delicious, we had pancakes and eggs! Let’s say I am an egg snob and their eggs were top notch! And service is amazing! Love love this place
