Crema's Take

This Seattle bagel spot wins hearts with creative, flavor-forward bagels like za'atar turkey and pear cinnamon that feel thoughtfully crafted rather than assembly-line standard. Beyond the exceptional bagels and solid coffee, there's a genuine warmth to the place—friendly service, reasonable waits even on busy mornings, and a community-minded ethos that keeps locals coming back. Whether you're fueling up after an exam or meeting a friend, TOASTED. feels like a neighborhood gem that gets both the food and the vibe right.

Stopped by here for breakfast after a morning midterm absolutely cooked me. I got a bagel with pear and honey on top and it was amazing. I also thought the portions were solid. Beyond the food being great here, the owners are previous UW grads and help a lot within the community so I love being able to support them.

I love the place. I discovered the TOASTED Uni branch by accident while searching on Google for bagels (even though it’s a few blocks north of where I live). I ordered online before the place opened at 7:00am, and my order was ready by 7:15. I ordered a Taste of Istanbul on an everything bagel, replacing the pickled onions with crunchy onions, though I still paid the extra $2.50, and a cardamom latte with honey. The bagel itself came to over $15, which isn’t cheap. When I picked it up, I noticed it was missing the tomatoes. It would be nice if they cut down the extra charge for crunchy onions, but since they’re a small chain (four locations), and it was too early in the morning to make a decision by the early shift, I didn’t make an issue of it. Another slight disappointment was that the bagel felt a bit day-old. Not the end of the world, but had I known, I would have asked for it double-toasted instead of just toasted. In the end, it was delicious. I realized how much we needed a bagel place where you can get a real taste of the Mediterranean at the good old U District. The place is nicely set up. Since my visit was early and on the day before Christmas Eve, there were no students around, and it was quiet, as you can see in the photos (which I took after the fact, though you can find appetizing photos of all the sandwiches online). Spacious place and alight; good for hanging out and work. Kudos to TOASTED, discovered later than I wish I had.

We stopped by Toasted Bagels with my husband and our youngest son and had such a nice experience. We ordered the za’atar turkey bagel and the pear cinnamon bagel, and both were absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations! My husband had the Turkish coffee, and I had a caramel macchiato—hands down the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. The shop was very clean, calm, and relaxing, which made it such a nice place to sit and enjoy our drinks. Izzy was incredibly kind and welcoming, you can really feel the care she puts into working there. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in if you’re nearby. :) 10/10!

Not a long line for Sunday morning crowd. Service was really friendly. The bagels choices are amazing for all sweet and savory options. Unique flavors. The Za'atar Turkey was very refreshing and LOVE it. Coffee is amazing too. Just very pricy. 2 bagels with 2 drinks for $50 is a lot….

An absolutely amazing place. I visited them through a (rotating location) coffee meet I attend because we all heard about the help they’re offering the community while SNAP has issues. The food and coffee are great, it’s clean and quiet, everyone is super nice too. I was under the assumption that they were offering a specific item for free if people were affected by the SNAP holds, but it turns out they were just fully comping orders. 🥹 You guys are awesome. Definitely the first place I’m gonna go next time I’m in the area and want a bite to eat- earned yourself a customer for life for that.
