Gery's Deli Cafe is where San Francisco goes for genuine Peruvian flavors that taste like home, with show-stopping empanadas stuffed with tender meat in flaky pastry and a legendary chicharrón sandwich featuring homemade bread, silky pork belly, and pickled onions. The empanadas here are the best! They are STUFFED with tasty, tender meat in a deliciously flakey crust, and served with the perfect hot sauce. The service is friendly and prompt, and they even offer a free cup of coffee when you get an empanada.

Best sandwich in sf! Try the chicharrón and you won’t be disappointed! Homemade bread, tender pork belly, soft sweet potato, and pickled onions. It’s the perfect sandwich! The drinks (passion fruit and chicha morada) are a perfect compliment as well! Empanadas also excellent! But the best part is gery, the friendly owner who is so warm and thoughtful! So grateful to live next to this place!!

If you want to taste that authentic peruvian flavor you have to come to this place. Ive been in many expensive, luxury peruvian restaurants around the world and they never taste like home. Here finally Ive tried what I missed the most, Home (Peru). The pan con chicharron is delicious, with sweet potato and salsa criolla as it should be. The pan con lomo, the beef is soft, juicy and generous. the onions well done. The chicha morada, taste like actual chicha morada. I left this place with a smile of my face :) Thank you Geradine. This place finally made my day in years of living abroad.
