Ritual Chocolate & Mocha Cafe
2175 W 3000 S Suite 100, Park City, UT
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Park City, this cafe is a chocolate lover's pilgrimage site, offering a sipping chocolate flight and an impressive selection of bean-to-bar creations like their beloved Midmountain Bar alongside traditional and specialty coffee drinks. The on-site chocolate factory tour is a genuinely delightful experience that deepens your appreciation for their craft, though some visitors wish the sleek, modern atmosphere matched the warmth and complexity of their chocolate menu. Pair your drink with a grilled cheese featuring ham and jam or one of their pastries, and settle in for a slow sit that feels more like visiting an artisan chocolate studio than a typical cafe.”

This is a super cute little cafe! Their chocolate bars are pretty good, dark chocolate with floral notes. They also have a delicious gingerbread chocolate bar. I give the food 2 star because we got the sipping chocolate array and they were abysmal. We threw them away. I’ve had A LOT of drinking chocolate in my life, including in Paris (what is widely considered the capital of drinking chocolate). What went wrong with this one was it was WAY too watery and not creamy as well as some super strange background flavors that were off putting akin to drinking sage brush in a bad way. The service was good, and it was a good environment to spend with friends, maybe try something other than drinking chocolate 😂
The Ritual Chocolate factory tour is an absolute must-do experience and one of the most delightful and educational adventures for any chocolate lover! Nestled in the stunning Heber Valley, once you enter the factory, the air was filled with the rich, intoxicating aroma of cacao. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, walking us through the entire bean-to-bar process with fascinating details about sourcing ethical, single-origin cacao from dedicated farmers around the world. We got to learn about every step, however I would have enjoyed seeing a little more hands on and up close. The highlight, of course, was the generous tasting session: sampling velvety smooth chocolates with complex, vibrant flavors that burst with notes of fruit, nuts, and earthiness. We were even able to meet their top chocolate taste designer and she was incredible and even offered us taste of prototypes she was working on. This tour deepened my appreciation for fine chocolate while being fun, engaging, and downright indulgent. Highly recommended for families, foodies, or anyone seeking a sweet escape!
What a great experience! Amazing selection of chocolate, great service and I would recommend the grilled cheese with ham and jam
The sipping chocolate flight is such a unique experience, highly recommend. The atmosphere feels a little sterile in comparison with the depth of the menu and chocolate bars available. This is a place you visit for the culinary experience, but not necessarily for the vibes. (Don’t expect to get cute pics for the gram but you will LOVE the chocolate). For my fellow coffee lovers, they have real macchiatos!
Ritual is one of my favorite bean-to-bar makers in the country. The Midmountan Bar is one of my go-to bars. I made a b-line to their store after landing in SLC to get there before they close at 5:00. Made it there 20 minutes before close and had a chance to stock up on some bars and get an iced drinking chocolate. I didn’t stay and sit since I was there right before close but there is plenty of space to work or meet people there. The only thing that would have made the experience more enjoyable is if the employees shared in the enthusiasm expressed for the product they are putting out and the industry they are in. Maybe I’m just too excited and geek out about these things, but this isn’t inconsistent with other experiences I’ve had at other bean-to-bar companies I’ve visited. The person that waited on me wasn’t unkind, just not very interested in engaging with someone who is expressing delight in the company she is representing.
