Crema's Take
“Tucked near Heavenly in Tahoe City, this roastery has earned a devoted following for its consistently excellent espresso and thoughtful pour overs, with regulars returning daily for their straightforward black coffee or creative drinks like the lavender latte and Very Berry smoothie. The intimate, wood-warm space strikes that rare balance of cozy enough to linger for hours yet respectful enough that solo coffee drinkers and groups both feel at home, especially paired with their standout pastries like the chocolate scone. It's the kind of local gem that makes a ski trip detour feel essential rather than convenient.”

Great place near to Heavenly to have coffee and pastries! I had coffee here three times during my stay in Lake Tahoe and can say for sure it was the best in the area. Chocolate scone also amazing!
Consistently good drinks and service. The inside is a little small, but it is very cozy with a lot of good sitting areas. While I highly recommend the Very Berry smoothie, the other drinks are also phenomenal. I also really like their shopping area where you can buy a shirt with their logo, they look nice and always receive complements. My only complaint is that they close at 2pm most days which is sad because I want to be able to go get a coffee in the afternoon.
I’m obsessed with this place! It’s got that perfect rustic charm — warm wood, cozy vibes, and just the right kind of music in the background. It feels like the kind of café you could sit in for hours. Had the Maple Latte and it was amazing — smooth, rich, and full of flavor. The staff were super sweet and welcoming, and they’ve got some awesome merch too. You can even buy their coffee beans to take home! Hands down one of my favorite coffee stops ever.
A definite highlight on my last trip up. Might have gotten coffee here everyday. My coffee order is real simple (hot, black, no sugar or sweeteners) and this place delivers. Really took to their dark roast "Cowboy" blend. Always a line but it moved quick. Lot of outdoor seating, fair amount of seats indoors (mix of table and chairs) and plenty of parking in the lot. Small merch section with the usual variety of tshirts, hoodies, and coffee accessories.
This is an amazing local coffee shop! The atmosphere is mellow and inviting. I really enjoyed my lavender latte—it had great complexity and wasn’t sweet, which I really appreciated. I also tried the masala chai, which was delicious, and the apple strudel was fabulous. Definitely worth stopping by for a cup of well-made coffee.
