Crema's Take

This New Haven gem pulls you in with the aroma of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and keeps you with owner Andrea's genuine warmth and deep knowledge of espresso craft. The intimate space strikes that perfect balance between a quiet refuge for focused work and a welcoming gathering spot, where every cup is made with care and their pastries (especially those cinnamon rolls) are worth the visit alone. You'll find yourself lingering longer than expected, surrounded by the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular from your first visit.

Walked into the shop and immediately there was the warmest smell of fresh cinnamon rolls in the oven - had to get some along with our coffee and so glad we did. Such a smooth iced americano and SUCH good cinnamon buns. The owner was so sweet! Glad we found this place to along around town

Andrea, the owner is amazing. Super chatty and personable, very friendly and inviting environment. Well versed in her craft, and the love she puts into the coffees is paramount! Absolute must visit !!

Such a cool little space and super friendly. We had coffee (which was delicious!) and a banana coconut cookie of some sort that was also really good. The best part about the whole experience was Andrea, who talked about her Italian heritage, shared books full of stories, and told us great places to walk in the neighborhood. She also told us what pizza to order later (potato and rosemary) Grab your coffee and food and sit outside and people watch or take it over to the park. Either way - good stuff and they do a fantastic job of making you feel welcome. Thanks, Andrea!

The shop owner was setting up when we walked by and helped us right away. We didn’t realize until later that the shop didn’t open for another half an hour. She is knowledgeable about coffee but also the neighborhood, Wooster Street, and Little Italy in New Haven. The finger painting in the bathroom by the owner’s daughter is adorable and uplifting. We had a lovely time sitting outside and watching the neighborhood wake up while sipping our delicious drinks.

I’ve been meaning to try this cafe and def should’ve come sooner! Such a peaceful and cute atmosphere. I got an iced vanilla latte and an egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel was outstanding and super fresh. Also tried one of the pastries while waiting and will be coming back for those. There’s outdoor seating to enjoy with nice weather now and service was amazing. Highly recommend!!
