Crema's Take
“Stargazer is a converted warehouse gem that blends old Austin charm with a vibrant, earthy vibe—think high ceilings, spacious indoor-outdoor seating, and a funky community hub feel that's equally perfect for a solo coffee moment or a daytime gathering with friends. What sets this spot apart is how seamlessly they weave coffee and cocktails together, creating inventive drinks like espresso martinis and frozen aperol spritzes that make it as much a social destination as a caffeine stop. Conveniently nestled near vintage shops and tacos, it's the kind of place where you can linger for hours and actually feel the pulse of Austin's creative, laid-back spirit.”

This place is so cute and gives old Austin vibes. We came for cocktails before seeing a show at The Ground Theater. We had an espresso martini, the frozen aperol spritz (genius) and a regular aperol. All three were phenomenal and a decent price. Comfy places to sit inside and out, the staff were friendly. If Im in the area again will for sure be back.
1 part cocktail and 1 part coffee and you have Stargazer. Conveniently located right off a parking lot (and taco truck), Stargazer has this funky, earthy vibe to it. The setting here is somewhere between a craft brewery and a botanical garden, which gives it a very unique feel. Throw in a pool table, some foosball, and various nightly events such as trivia or comedy, and you have something special. By the time we got to the counter to order we were pretty excited to see what was in store. However, the wait was… long, which wouldn’t be bad if we hadn’t been the only people in line. We must have waited about 10 minutes or so before we got someone to take our order, and that’s with a barista at the bar and another worker restocking in front of us. It just felt like there was zero urgency and the line behind us began to grow and eventually got to the door. When we finally got our order taken the staff were nice and the process was smooth. We ordered a hot chocolate and a hot strawberry matcha latte. They do offer a pretty expansive menu with cocktails and other specialty drinks if that’s your vibe. Our drinks came out pretty quick and we drank them while playing some pool (pretty cool sentences to say when it’s coffee you’re drinking). The hot chocolate is fantastic; it has a sweet milk chocolate taste similar to Dutch Bros but a bit better in our opinion. The strawberry matcha was just okay, much more on the earthy side with a nice hint of strawberry in it. The bottom of the cup had a lot of semi absorbed matcha in it which was a bit unenjoyable to finish a drink off with. We really liked the setting of Stargazer and it’s hard not to. Between the funky vibe, cool events going on, and games, it’s a lot of fun. The service leaves a bit to be desired and the drinks were hit or miss, but it’s a place we would come back to, especially with things like pickleball and rock climbing nearby. We’re looking forward to coming here again and seeing if things are different, but for now we feel this place warrants a placeholder of 3.
Lovely indoor outdoor coffee house on the edge of a complex with many forms of entertainment, dining, and shopping. Picking up a coffee and walking to black feather vintage is a great way to take in all that the complex has to offer.b Stargazer's long hours make them a great destination to work or socialize. There is a playground in front along with a shaded corridor of tables. I enjoyed the cold brew, but look forward to returning for the cocktails. The complex has several free parking lots and there is free street parking nearby.
If you ever wonder what's the place for daytime raves and community events that are a little hippie, you should definitely visit stargazer. We had so much fun and this is our go-to place for lunch time coffee and also evening events that they host. There are very few coffee shops that have made the reputation that stargazer has especially with their innovative drink menu which takes coffee to the next level.
Stargazer Coffee Stargazer is a standout coffee shop tucked inside what looks like a converted warehouse, with soaring ceilings and a spacious, open layout that feels both industrial and thoughtfully designed. From the moment you walk in, you get the sense this place is about more than just coffee – it’s a creative hub with energy and style. We visited on a Sunday and were met with live DJ music, filling the space with deep, resonant sound thanks to excellent acoustics. The vibe was electric but relaxed, with a great crowd and an inviting atmosphere. There’s also a large patio for those who prefer to enjoy their coffee outdoors. Events seem to be a regular feature here – there was a posted schedule of upcoming happenings, hinting at how much more this space offers beyond the daily café experience. The coffee was great, the space inspiring, and the overall ambiance made it feel like one of Austin’s rising gems. Whether you’re here for a drink, music, or just soaking in the scene, Stargazer deserves a spot on your list. It feels like one of those places that’s about to become a local legend.
