5th Ave Bagelry & Espresso

It was such a beautiful place. The staff was so warm and accommodating as it was my first time here. Super patient and helpful and generous with the portions. We’re not stingy and very generous and took care of you even to the point of going to your car. Each paper bag was stocked with napkins and utensils, and every item here looked like art. The bagels were so fresh and crisp, not stale or hard. I will drive out here again just for this bakery. The family could not get enough.

I'm conflicted - the food and drinks are excellent, and fairly priced...but...the last two times I purchased from here I selected "zero tip" on their point of sale system (I prefer to tip in cash) but in both cases a tip of 20% was charged to my card!! Additionally the tip *wasn't* shown on the receipt! I found out later when I checked my account, but by then it was too late to challenge the bills. Conceivably it could be an innocent misconfiguration of the POS, but it's still shady. Caveat emptor.

Bagel with cream cheese was great. Toasted to perfection and a generous amount of cream cheese. Coffee is ok also.

I got the heavenly veggie and it was one of the most delicious bagel sandwiches I've ever eaten. I spilled my coffee in the store and they gave me a free one to replace it, which was so kind. However, I did order two sandwiches and one of them was wrong. I didn't notice until I had driven away, so that's my fault. I will definitely be going back and getting the heavenly veggie again.

The bagels were delicious and fresh! The Vietnamese iced coffee was also amazing! Highly recommended.
