Sappore Coffee
6436 Homer Dr, Anchorage, AK
Crema's Take
“This Anchorage drive-thru has mastered the art of speed and memorization for regulars, with baristas who know your order and your family's drinks by heart before you even reach the window. While the espresso-focused menu delivers solid vanilla chai lattes and cold brews, service consistency seems to depend heavily on which shift you catch—some visits feature genuine warmth and efficiency, while others bring frustratingly long waits and less-than-friendly interactions. If you're a regular willing to build a relationship with the team, Sappore rewards loyalty with impressive attentiveness, though drop-ins might want to prepare for variable experiences.”

VERY LONG WAIT TIME. The lady today around 2:00 wasn’t that friendly asked for a tip and didn’t even say thank you. It’s just rude to not say thank you when someone gives you a tip. It’s also weird to ask for a tip. This should really be changed. Coffee was good.
There were only 2 cars in front of me and I think I spent around 25-30 minutes waiting. After ordering, the girls continued to just talk and bs taking forever to complete two drinks. I don’t mind waiting, I understand crafting drinks takes a while but this was excessive. Additionally, both of our drinks were wrong. I ordered a special and they did the wrong special- it was still good but not what I wanted. My boyfriend’s mocha was so burnt that it came out tasting crazy bitter. I won’t be going back unfortunately.
The vanilla chai tea latte was great. The employees at this location not so much. They were actually pretty rude. I said thank you as she handed me my drink and she just ignored me and closed the window on me.
Everytime I try to get coffee there, the baristas seem to have an attitude despite me being kind. Often times my coffee is made wrong. I ask for an iced white mocha with oat milk and CINNAMON POWDER. It either gets made with cinnamon syrup or with cinnamon sugar. Which doesn’t make sense, because I don’t ask for sugar. Syrup also has more added sugar that I don’t like; hence asking for cinnamon powder. I think it’s a health hazard to be giving granulated sugar or extra syrup in peoples coffee when they don’t ask for it. One barista in specific was rude despite me being neutral with her. As soon as I received my coffees, she walked away without saying anything and slammed the window shut. I will not be going to cafe darte anymore.
These girls see me a mile away and know exactly what I'm getting, its almost always ready before I even roll my window down. They also know my kids and my husbands drinks by heart and they never forget the pup cup if the fur babies are riding along. They are so dedicated to their customers, last year we lost 2 of our dogs, ages 13 and 7, back to back, the girls knew I was having a rough time...they wrote little notes on my drinks and made me smile when I needed it most! I can honestly say every girl at my fave cart is incredible and I sincerely look forward to getting my coffee and seeing their bright smiling faces ☕ 😊
