Top Hat Coffee Lounge

My waffle with whipped cream and strawberries was delicious, it paired well with my drip coffee. Service was friendly and prompt. They made sure to communicate that it’d be a bit of a wait for my waffle, which I appreciated. They also were accommodating and got me a place when my order was mistakenly placed in a to go container, which was kind given how busy they were. I’m giving 3 stars because of the fact that they don’t have it together enough to use reusable dishwear. I saw tons of people eating and drinking in the shop out of to go containers, which is a huge unnecessary waste. I ordered my waffle for here but it came in a disposable plastic container! I wouldn’t blame this on the employees, but poor management. They need to figure out a system where they can accommodate orders for here even when it’s busy. There were 4 employees working and they all seemed in their early 20s. No sense of there being an experienced manager present. Which is especially bad for a busy Saturday. Do better Top Hat!

This place is very nice. The staff if great. The food is great. I ordered the Bacon Egg + Cheese waffle. It was really good. My only issue was the bacon. It was a bit to hard for me. Other than that it was really good.

Our trips to the Philly area are incomplete without a stop at Top Hat Coffee Lounge. Everything is always fresh and delicious! The staff is friendly, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Top Hat is always a highlight of our trips to the area. We've also had the privilege of meeting the owner - he's great! If you're in Philadelphia, this place is a must!

Cute coffee shop in university city with plenty of space to study. Good coffee, waffle was delicious. However, their pastries are on a smaller portion side for the price, and I’m sure it’s not made in the house. Highly recommend people who wanna get work/study done!

It’s hard to find a café with really good coffee in U-City, but Top Hat is definitely my favorite. Unlike other franchise coffee shops, the latte here is rich and full of flavor. I’ve also tried the Valentine and Berry Bomb waffles, and both were absolutely delicious!
