“The kouign aman here rivals what you'd find in Brittany, making this one of the few American bakeries worth crossing state lines for if you're serious about laminated pastries. It's a genuine community gathering spot in downtown Montpelier with excellent people-watching from the window seats, though expect pastries to sell out by mid-morning since everything moves fast. The ambiance and reasonable prices make it equally solid for a quick grab or a long work session, just go early.”
