Crema's Take

One Two Cup Cafe in Jersey City is a cozy neighborhood spot that's recently hit its stride with an upgraded menu and noticeably better execution in the kitchen—reviewers rave about the improved food quality and drinks, making it a welcoming destination for a slow morning or casual meetup. The cafe shines with solid breakfast and lunch options like chicken pesto subs and chocolate croissants alongside espresso drinks that actually get attention, though consistency can be hit-or-miss on any given visit, so it's worth giving it a shot if quality takes a dip.

So happy I gave this place another try! I had come here before and the food was meh, it wasn’t super welcoming but now it’s a whole new menu, food is amazing, drinks are even better and I love the new layout! Service was great too! So friendly, kind and fast!

Unfortunately had a bad experience ordering takeout from this cafe- I ordered the avocado toast which was advertised on Grubhub with photos detailing whole wheat toast generously spread with avocado, 2 poached eggs and a generous portion of smoked salmon. I received an untoasted brown bread sandwich with a sliver of salmon, very little cut up avocado and what looked like ready made scrambled eggs. For $17 which is on the high end of avocado toast costs, this was disappointing especially with the false advertising in the photos shown and the poor quality of ingredients.

Ordered a chocolate croissant, chicken wrap, a macchiato and a cappuccino. Instead, got a muffin, a wrap with barely any chicken (avocado not ripe yet either) and two cups filled to the brim with watered down coffee and a splash of milk. Ended up throwing the coffee out since it was worse than office coffee and only had two bites of the wrap because the avocado was hard and the chicken sausage seemed store-bought pre-cooked. Only thing that was passable was the egg in the wrap.

Nice little place serving good sandwiches and small bakery options. Got a bagel with egg and cream cheese and a chocolate croissant. Both were simple and nice.
