Crema's Take
“Tucked away in a San Francisco building lobby, Sutter Cafe punches well above its hidden-gem status with genuinely excellent breakfast, fresh-pressed juices, and standout sandwiches that keep locals and visitors alike coming back. The team moves with impressive speed and care, whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in with family, and their creative specials like the chocolate chai latte and garlic shrimp sandwich show real craft beyond typical cafe fare. It's the kind of unpretentious neighborhood spot that delivers restaurant-quality food and service without the fuss or tourist crowds.”

Popped in for breakfast whilst staying in a hotel nearby. Excellent service, food came out fast and fresh. Orange juice was freshly pressed and the coffee was good (except I’m British and don’t normally drink coffee!)
The best breakfast we found in the region. Tucker away in the garage of an apartment building, the service is great and great taste of food. Try the new chocolate chai latte! We were there with an other group of Dutch attendees of the Microsoft Ignite conference.
Found this place on a recent business trip to the area. I was sick of the finer dining options in the area and just wanted a really good sandwich. Sutter St Cafe sits inside the lobby of large building, so you have to know where it is to find it. The place isn't huge, but it's cozy and welcoming. Most important, the sandwiches are fantastic! I created my own on a sourdough roll. The roll was toasted and warm, but the sandwich toppings were cold and fresh. I couldn't have made it better myself. Do yourself a favor and give Sutter St Cafe a try. I'm going to think about that perfect turkey sandwich for a long time.
Eating a piece of art. I’ve been here several times over the years. The sign at the door said “try our new garlic shrimp sandwich”, I was happy to oblige. Sandwich was delicious in the services always exceptional. I also ordered desserts as well.
My kiddo and I tried this place out on a recent trip to SF. We were looking for a place where the kiddo to get a burger and this popped up with great ratings. It also looked like it was a less "touristy" place to try and that was definitely the case! In fact, we missed the little sign in the lobby that directed you to the deli and ended up entering through the parking garage - we really weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into. What we got were two HUGE sandwiches. Kiddo got their burger and I tried the Joe's Special. Both were delicious and we left both happy and completely stuffed. We would definitely revisit Sutter Street Cafe if we were in the area again. Great local find!
