Kai Coffee
2424 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI
Crema's Take
“Tucked in the Hyatt Regency atrium, Kai Coffee is known for lightning-fast service and a genuinely tight-knit team that makes ordering a joy, even during rush. Their signature macadamia nut latte is a local favorite that captures the essence of Hawaiian coffee culture, though the kitchen's execution can be inconsistent—stick to the drinks and lighter bites rather than the heavier breakfast items. If you're after a convenient, hospitable spot for a specialty latte with island flair, this is your spot, just maybe skip the burritos.”

I ordered a chi latte on two separate occasions. It was delish! The second visit I had to ask for them to make the tea hotter. It was barely lukewarm. I also ordered a turkey sandwich. It was really good. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite and good chi!
The staff at this Kai coffee location are so amazing. They work really well together. I love watching them as I wait for my order to be fullfilled (less than half a minute most times)! The are super friendly and ultra efficient! I actually can't believe how quickly they serve all of the customers. Thank You girls for recommending the Kai latte this morning it is down right my fav! I head back to Melbourne on Thursday but I can say I have enjoyed every morning for the last 15 days of ordering my coffees and breakfasts here. Thanks again.
The Coffee: A great spot for a morning pick-me-up right in the hotel atrium. Signature Drink: I enjoyed their signature Kai Latte (often with macadamia nut flavor), which was delicious. Classics: The Iced Americano was excellent—clean and smooth coffee without any harsh bitterness. Logistics: Payment: A key detail for hotel guests: they are not taking room charge, so make sure to bring your card or payment app. Facilities: There is no bathroom in the coffee shop itself (you'll need to use the hotel lobby restrooms nearby). Verdict: High-quality local coffee with a great taste. Perfect for grabbing a cup before heading out to the beach, just have your credit card ready!
The coffee here is decent, but unfortunately, the beef burrito I had on my last morning was absolutely terrible. The eggs tasted artificial, almost fake, and I had to throw it away after just one bite. I honestly don’t understand how something like this is being sold. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money on it.
If you're staying at the Hyatt Regency, Kai Coffee is your go-to for a quick and delicious coffee or breakfast. The location is super convenient. I highly recommend the macadamia nut latte and the açaí bowl—both are excellent. Service is always quick and friendly. Plus, it's nice to have seating available right there to enjoy your order.
