Crema's Take

Nestled in the heart of Durango, this beloved breakfast destination draws crowds for its generously portioned, consistently delicious morning fare—particularly their standout Benedicts—alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of gluten-free options. The convivial atmosphere thrives whether you're huddled under the covered outdoor seating during a Colorado drizzle or settling into the cozy (if snug) dining room with locals and families, all united by genuinely friendly service and the kind of fresh, quality food that keeps people coming back despite the inevitable wait.

Delicious and lively breakfast spot! Though the dining area maybe small the entrees where big and again delicious. We had corned beef hash, eggs benedict and cocktails. Everything was fresh and the service was friendly and efficient. Although we were seated in just a few minutes it filled in fast behind us but it is worth a wait!

Such a great place. My only issue was parking. If you have a large vehicle, park in the street. The food was great and there were several options for gluten free. Everyone in the family was able to eat and enjoyed the meal.

Line out the door at 9:30 on. Friday morning was my first hint I picked a good place. Sat outside in the cool rain under the covered sidewalk. Hubby eats what he wants on vacation and he got the chicken fried steak. Couldn’t finish it all. Potato cakes, eggs, biscuits AND gravy on top! We weren’t even halfway done with our coffee when the food arrived! Great service, recs, and vibe.

Probably the best breakfast spot in Durango. There is usually a wait but it’s worth it. The staff is friendly, the food is quick and high quality. All of the Benedict’s are excellent (the southwest is probably my favorite), but honestly everything is tasty.

Had a great brunch with family at Rupert's! Service was impeccable, the wait for a table was short, and our food was all around delicious. I thought my chicken fried steak could have been crunchier/more flavorful, but everything else hit the spot for breakfast. Would come back for sure.
