Crema's Take
“Forum Coffee is a San Diego favorite where creative, consistently excellent coffee and matcha drinks shine through signature creations like their banana bread-inspired cold brew that keep regulars coming back for years. The vibrant atmosphere and thoughtfully designed space make it equally perfect for a quick caffeine boost or settling in for a few hours, plus their seasonal offerings and playfully named drinks add personality that goes beyond standard cafe fare. With convenient parking and reliable quality across both their coffee program and pastry selection, it's the kind of neighborhood spot that earns genuine loyalty from high schoolers through college years and beyond.”

The forum has been my local coffee shop for a few years now. Both their coffee and matcha is delicious and consistent. It’s a great place to just swing in for a coffee, however, it’s not a great place to sit and enjoy anymore. Everytime I go every seat is filled with someone who usually stays for hours. They don’t offer food besides pastry’s which isn’t ideal when I want to grab a bite to eat with my coffee. Lastly, they’re very overpriced, I know coffee has become more expensive these days but I spend more on a coffee here than I do at other coffee shops.
I was so excited to finally try Forum! This place is such good vibes and has fantastic coffee and matcha. I love how all of their flavors are unique. I got the banana bread inspired cold brew, and I absolutely loved it. It's called BB Code on the menu. Not too sweet, and the star of the show is the banana milk they use. I will be coming back, and it seems like a great place to work or study too!
A tasty albeit a bit overpriced coffee shop (but not unusual). Good atmosphere and festive gingerbread. I’d come back, but I would likely try a different drink
Let me start with the fact that I NEVER write reviews. This has been my favorite coffee shop since freshman year of high school, and Im now a senior in college! Love the seasonal drinks/pastries, and they have ceremonial grade matcha that’s so so fire!! They have fantastic savory pastries too :) It’s a little hard at times to find a seat when they’re peak busy but they do have outlets and wifi which definitely comes in clutch. I do love studying here when seating is available, and the music is always really good. Definitely a must to go check it out!
What I liked was the location (close to everything, like discount tire and home depot), the funny names of drinks, good service, and they had cream in addition to half and half for my Americano. It was a little bit dark inside, and there were tables with people chatting, so this might be best for groups to study together (if able to tolerate the talking) or for solo workers who put on nice noise-cancelling headphones. Parking was not an issue in this location, but the turning and parking might be tight for some drivers.
