Cafe Luna
628 Hudson St, Hoboken, NJ
Crema's Take
“Cafe Luna has built a devoted following for its genuinely cozy vibes and exceptionally crafted lattes that keep people coming back despite the inevitable wait times. Beyond the coffee, this Hoboken spot shines with a thoughtful food program featuring everything from creative sandwiches like "the french" to french toast and fresh breakfast options, making it feel like the kind of neighborhood indie café where quality matters in every detail. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and consistency across both drinks and food has clearly struck a chord with coffee lovers who've made it a favorite despite—or maybe because of—its popularity.”

Stumbled upon this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. It’s a cute little café shop. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for four people which was completely fine. It’s definitely located in a small area so you have to be mindful that you’re probably going to have to wait a little bit. However, the service was great! The servers were super sweet and a tentative. We have two pancakes short stacks and a milk way sandwich. Everything was flavorful! The pancakes were super soft and fluffy. The fruit was fresh. We honestly loved the food and would go back! You also have to try their homemade potatoes. Those were so delicious!! For drinks, we had the espresso, island sunrise, Nutter Butter and the fresh Beet and go! We loved our smoothies. The island sunrise is delicious and I would highly recommend! the peanut butter was good however it was a little bit on the thicker side.
A fantastic, cute coffee shop with an excellent selection of cakes and larger meals. It’s my favourite part of town, but getting a decent coffee in an independent cafe is hard to find. These folks make fantastic coffee ☕️ 😎
The vibes and the atmosphere here are very nice and it’s really cozy We got the latte, french toast, and “the french” sandwich and it was very good! The latte was exceptionally good and was really smooth and creamy. The french toast was also good but there was nothing really too special about it. The sandwich however was not very flavorful…it was a little bland. Overall, this is a cute and cozy coffee spot to hang around in with your friends and family!
I found a new favorite coffee shop in NYC. It's cozy. We had our quick stop there with coffee and Lox. They are delicious. Employee is nice. We wish we could try more but we had a short time. Next time we will.
Cafe Luna is a cute little spot. I had the omelette, which was really good, but the potatoes were a bit of a miss — they tasted like they’d been cooked earlier and reheated. The butter for my toast came in a tiny container and was shredded, which was actually really cute and made it super easy to spread. The Americano I had was fantastic — smooth and rich, definitely a highlight. The servers were incredibly friendly and very attentive. One staff member even went out of his way to keep things safe and tidy, moving chairs so servers wouldn’t trip — really thoughtful! Only small note: the bathroom trash can looked a little worn out — swapping it for a new one would really match the rest of the café’s charm. Otherwise, great vibe, good food, and excellent service.
