CAFE ESPRESSO
411 Butternut St, Syracuse, NY
Crema's Take
“This tiny Syracuse gem channels an authentic Italian village café experience, where real espresso—the kind you'd struggle to find elsewhere in the region—is crafted with serious intention and served in a leisurely, conversational atmosphere. The old-school cash-only policy and unhurried vibe aren't quirks but features that reinforce the genuine, unpretentious character regulars and European visitors alike crave. If you're seeking a place to slow down with exceptional espresso rather than rush through a transaction, this is where Syracuse's most devoted coffee lovers land.”

It's a coffeeshop that a friend took us to. Delightful
Like a visit to a Cafe in a small southern Italian village. As an Italian I greatly enjoyed the overall ambiance.
The Expresso was good, but you must use cash. They don't have the equipment for you to use a debit card. Also, my friend and I met there to talk on a Sunday afternoon, and 20 minutes later we had to leave because he was closing down for a few hours and reopening later, so we had to go elsewhere. I wasn't very impressed.
Very friendly. We ordered espresso and when we went to pay with our, we found it was cash only. We asked for the nearest atm and were told simply to come back again soon. Coffee was delicious! Make sure you bring paper money and definitely get in there as soon as you can
