Panino Veloce

I heard a tale that the focaccia recipe was tirelessly perfected for 2 years before Panino Veloce opened. Whether that's true or not, it wouldn't surprise me given the great care to detail that the owners have given this incredible lunch spot. The sandwiches (served on the aforementioned focaccia bread) are all delicious. I like to get a side of pasta salad + a crispy Diet Coke to drink. The service here is always fast and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out for lunch and then come back for dinner at their sister restaurant, Tarasque Cucina.

They bake their own bread every day! Their coffee is delicious! They have a beautiful alley outdoor space which is shady in our hot Mississippi summers! And most importantly, every person who walks through their door is greeted with a smile and like they matter. Whenever we have out-of-town guests, I always make sure to take them to this restaurant! One of my all time faves.

Incredible sandwiches and incredible people! When I pick up sandwiches I always try and get an order of “road ruffles”. The chips are addictive and I eat them in the car on the way home. Trust me. Get yourself some road ruffles and some panino. You won’t regret it!

My favorites are the shrimp caper sandwich and the butterbean hummus sandwich. And I always get two sides- the pasta salad and the ruffles. Don't sleep on their specials! They can't wait to feed you!

Owners are wonderful people and the staff is always so sweet and attentive. The food is out of this world - don’t sleep on the potato salad 😎 the focaccia bread used for the sandwiches is an excellent texture and flavorful. Great espresso and lunch spot at a reasonable price!
