Gossip Tea Lounge

I have been looking for a good bánh mì for a long time. These are great. The french bread is light, chewy, airy, and flaky/crispy. It has great pickled vegetables, a good amount of cilantro, great sauce, and flavorful meat. It also has jalapenos. I wouldn't complain if it had a little more jalapenos, but I've been to 23 out of 30 places in the triangle that have bánh mì and this is the best bánh mì around.

What a nice surprise for my wife to have discovered this place. We both spent time in Taiwan a year ago with our son who is there. And we had a fabulous time, we also had a great time eating and drinking at Taiwanese and Vietnamese cafes, tea/boba coffee shops…and this one has that modern flair-invite. The menu is plentiful yet not overwhelming. I had the Bao Bun (braise pork), it was very good & and both of our drinks were very good (me: Lemon-Lime Tea, wife: Iced Vietnamese Coffee (sorry I forgot to ask if the brew was native…would be cool if it just happened to be, because Vietnamese coffee is very good). So our experience on our Sunday morning outing was very nice. Pricing was appropriate, to us…plus this is an independent business, and which we appreciate. 👍🏾

Let me "Gossip" a little bit about Gossip Tea Lounge Durham NC. 🤭 We stop for a visit on the way home from Asheville. I have to say it's the cutest, most unique tea lounge I've ever seen. You could tell they put a lot of effort into this business. From beautiful decoration to comfort to coziness to cleanliness to fresh ingredients, and making sure all the food and drinks are delicious, they got it 100%!!! We were well fed before getting back on the road. Two days later... I ordered too many drinks so had to keep a boba tea in the fridge for 2 days. Did you know, the tapioca bobas were still soft and chewy when I drank the tea 2 days later? Amazing! Bravo, Chef!!! Don't miss out on a chance to visit this adorable place if you're in Durham area.

Polished, comfy dining space, friendly & attentive staff, and food that is well-balanced, refreshing, and deliciously robust. There’s an especially wonderful attention to detail in the banh mi sandwiches. From the fresh crusty bread, evenly layered fillings, and even the elegant packaging, every part of their sandwiches are intentional, earnest, and impossible to resist.

Okay, if you're looking for an awesome new spot, you HAVE to check this place out! We just went for the first time and were blown away. The space is super modern and clean with such a great, lively vibe. We had the banh mi, bubble tea, and spring rolls, and every single thing was delicious. 10/10 would recommend! We will be back!
