Crema's Take
“Ateaz Cafe is a wonderfully unpretentious spot where comfort food becomes an art form, with their grilled cheese and tomato soup earning genuine devotion from regulars who return again and again. The welcoming, clean atmosphere makes it equally suited for a quick solo breakfast, a leisurely family gathering, or meeting a friend, though their specialty matcha could use some refinement. The real magic here is in how they elevate simple, nostalgic dishes with care and freshness—the kind of place that has people crossing bridges to visit multiple times.”

The perfect comfort food for a day like today is a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup! It’s not even the run of the mill soup and grilled cheese either. This was delicious, and well made. I enjoyed every bit of it. The dining atmosphere is cozy, with window seating and pillows. There’s relaxing contemporary music that’s played at a very reasonable volume as well. The only tiny thing that I wish were different is the blazing bright lights in the cafe. I’m not about to deduct an entire star on account of that, though. Overall experience was divine!
The most amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup, the atmosphere is great too. Enjoyed as a family with two younger kids.
Their iced matcha was really disappointing, honestly bad enough to leave a review. It’s the most flavorless matcha I’ve ever had, even considering how matcha here in the U.S. usually isn’t that authentic. The atmosphere is nice though, a great spot to sit and relax. I just hope the manager considers switching to a better matcha powder brand.
Me and my friend were staying at a hotel across the bridge. We tried it one time and went two more times. So worth it. So clean. Fresh and delicious. Must try if you are in the area!!! First time just had a croissant Second time Nutella French toast (yum) Third time egg avocado sandwich
We were looking for a quick place to sit down and eat for breakfast and found the perfect spot!!! Janet Jackson radio was playing which just added to the amazingly fun atmosphere before we even ordered our food. The s’mores waffle was delightfully but not overly sweet, the mango fizz drink was refreshing, and everything was plated wonderfully. Highly recommend if you’re looking for awesome food at great prices. If we lived in NYC we would be here all the time!!
