Crema's Take

Artifact Coffee is a stunning industrial-chic courtyard hideaway where specialty coffee pairs beautifully with exceptional food like their famous miso mayo sandwiches and house-made soups that deserve the hype. The rustic stone walls and thoughtfully spaced seating make it equally perfect for intimate meetings, solo work sessions, or celebrating life's special moments—just arrive early on weekends since word is definitely out about this gem. Their skilled team balances traditional and creative drinks with genuine warmth, creating the kind of place where you'll want to linger whether you're there for a quick espresso or a leisurely afternoon.

This coffe shop is quaint and esthetically pleasing. I was there for a meeting with 4 others, which made for a tight spot. However, seating is appropriately spaced, with 4 chairs to a table. The shop was on the quieter side although there were people there talking. Service was great as well and the workers were nice. Food tasted great. I got a turkey, bacon, lettuce, and cheese sandwich with a side salad.

Artifact Coffee is a gorgeous place to photograph, both indoors and in the courtyard. It’s perfect for micro weddings and intimate dinners. The beautiful stone and rustic detailing are ideal for a candlelit dinner and photograph beautifully. You can truly feel the care they put into every detail and the way they thoughtfully look after their guests. The space naturally creates memorable moments, and it’s also just a stone’s throw from some of Charm City’s most iconic portrait locations. I would highly recommend Artifact Coffee to anyone looking for a cozy and memorable venue.

Wow this place is so amazing!! The food was UNREAL, we got a grilled cheese and tomato soup (which was to die for) and the Members Only sandwich, with Miso mayo which was unbelievable. The brown butter molasses cookie was one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten. Not to mention the service - the woman who took our order, Katie, was so welcoming and charming and was such a joy to talk to! Definitely will be coming back! A bmore staple.

We recently had our wedding reception at Artifact Coffee - a perfect, intimate, industrial, charming, and wonderful celebration that was made all the better by the incredibly team. Working with the manager, Sam, to work through all of our food and beverage order selections, coordinate on decor and logistics, and plan the entire schedule and event was incredibly seamless - they were accommodating, helpful with suggestions, and fantastic with communication throughout. The setup and space were perfect for our group of 36 (including our ten nieces and nephews under 12), with the dining room seating all the adults, kids on the benches in the main area, and a perfect sized space for a dance floor after dinner and toasts. The food was phenonmenal (cheese board, peppered beef toasts, and deviled eggs for appetizers and braised short ribs, roasted chicken, seasonal roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a kids chicken tender option for dinner) as was the bar (signature dirty martini and margarita cocktails with a wide wine, beer, and NA beer selection), overseen by Bb who also happened to coordinate our reception day-of. Bb definitely wore many hats, keeping the event on schedule, helping us manage our nieces and nephews, and otherwise ensuring we had a perfect day. We were able to decorate and personalize easily and the team was gracious in letting us drop off decor early and pick it up later on the next day. Artifact Coffee is a fantastic space for anyone to host an event - from the professional of the team to the layout and bones of the space to the food, ambiance, and support of the staff. We can't recommend or thank the team at Artifact enough!

This is a known hidden spot so on weekends there will be a line and not always an available table. The food & coffee took a while but with the crowd that’s going to happen The staff was friendly even in the rush. The chai isn’t mean for chai lovers, it’s neither spicy nor sweet it’s just bland. The food was good, he had no problems with his, the sandwich was good, was disappointed to find the bug but I guess that was natures endorsement 🤷🏼‍♀️
