Canopy Road Café

Crema's Take
“Canopy Road Café is beloved by regulars who keep coming back for the genuine warmth of standout staff members like Scarlett, who remember your name and order. While their breakfast offerings like pancakes and omelets are solid comfort food hits, the kitchen can be inconsistent, so you might want to stick with their most popular items. The Southwood location draws a loyal crowd looking for a neighborhood gathering spot where the service charm often outshines the food itself.”

Scarlett is an amazing, kind, attentive server. She always makes coming here an incredibly enjoyable experience. She remembers you and even your order. She is one of the main reasons I continue to come back. Thank you Scarlett!!!
I ordered the Griddle plate. The pancake and sausage patties were very good. Scrambled eggs were lukewarm at best. My husband ordered the Dagwood. His sandwich was prepared as usual but no mayonnaise was used. He had to ask for mayonnaise. We have eaten here several times, this is the first time we have had any issues. We will eat here again and we do recommend this restaurant.
I got the 2/1 pancakes with bananas and they are delicious! Fast service and great food!
Pulled an extra shift last night and missed dinner. Went to canopy road Southwood this morning because it’s close and we were extra hungry. I ordered the $16 BLT Benedict. Came out 30 mins later missing the avocado and the English muffin burnt to a crisp. Meanwhile, the person I was with said their hash browns must’ve been cooked 10ft away from the stove, as they were raw and missing the “brown” part of their name. The waitress (the one and only time we saw her… others brought out food) said she’d talk to the manager after we’d paid. We left. You can get better breakfast at the holiday inn or your local nursing home cafeteria. What was edible was bland, just as the rest of the the locations in town.
Mixed Breakfast Experience at Canopy Road I recently visited Canopy Road for breakfast and had a mixed experience. The French toast was disappointing and didn’t meet my expectations. However, the omelet was flavorful, although a bit too salty for my taste. On the brighter side, the hash browns and eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Overall, the breakfast had its ups and downs, but I would consider giving it another try for the items that were well-prepared.
