Monkey Morning Cafe

First time here during the Rolex 24 race. Atmosphere is great classic diner with unique decorations. Staff is very friendly and fast. I had the Country Breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuit with sausage gravy, and potatoes. All very good and their coffee is good too. I rarely get gravy on anything but the gravy on the biscuit was great. Next race this place is on the list to come back to.

Good first experience! It was pretty packed when we arrived, likely right after a rush of orders went in. The atmosphere was louder than expected for something with “cafe” in the name 🤣, and the servers were clearly very busy. They were upfront about there being a wait for food, which we appreciated. The food was very good — the Elvis (peanut butter, banana, and bacon) is definitely the way to go! The breakfast burger was great too. We had kids with us, but it seemed to be more of an adult crowd overall. A thoughtful touch was that they made extra mac and cheese from a box just in case one of the kids didn’t like the homemade version.

This was our first time going and it was such a wonderful experience! The owners, the atmosphere and the food were all fantastic! The service was great as well! They have such unique and great variety on the menu! We loved it I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Monkey Morning Café was a major disappointment, especially after seeing all the great reviews that led us there in the first place. We walked in with about an hour and a half until closing, and the place was completely empty which should’ve been our first sign. The staff already looked like they were mentally clocked out, and unfortunately, it showed in the food. I ordered a protein breakfast, and it was honestly shocking what came out. The eggs had shells in them not just one tiny piece, but multiple big pieces throughout. The breakfast potatoes were ice cold and tasted old, like they’d been sitting all day and someone just tossed them on the plate without even trying. The ham and bacon were so greasy that the entire plate was slick with oil. It was literally a mess. Even the tomato looked like it had been hacked up by someone who had no idea what they were doing uneven, sloppy cuts, like a toddler had been handed the knife. On top of that, flies were buzzing around us back and forth, which was just the cherry on top of an already bad experience. The manager did come over to ask how everything was, and we told him the truth 🤷🏻‍♀️it wasn’t okay. He did take it off the bill, which we appreciated, but even he seemed to know exactly what happened 🧐 the cooks were ready to leave, and instead of making fresh food, we got whatever was left, thrown together with zero care or effort. It was clear they couldn’t have cared less, and for a place with such great reviews, this was a huge letdown. I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere near closing time or honestly, at all based on what we experienced.

Wonderful people and atmosphere. Best eggs Benedict that I've ever eaten. I had the Benedict Florentine and added bacon on the side. Home fries were highly recommended by the manager and they were everything he promised. My husband and teenager were equally impressed with their own breakfast orders. Thank you for a great family breakfast!
