Crema's Take

This Orlando institution has earned loyal devotion over two decades, evolving through countless reinventions while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Beyond solid coffee and matcha offerings, what truly sets it apart is the genuinely attentive service—staff like Renata go the extra mile to accommodate dietary needs and make every visitor feel cared for. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where consistency in kindness matters as much as what's in your cup.

I've been going to this café on/off for over 20 years as I grew up in the area and have seen it go through many eras of renovations and updates. Today I stopped by for a quick coffee and to accomplish some work and was quite surprised by my experience. I arrived at 3pm, knowing it closes at 4pm. After arriving I placed my order politely for simply a Cappucino and nothing else. I sat down and waiting for my order as two large groups, one with children came in after me so I figured it would be a few minutes. After noticing those groups getting their orders already I went up to see if mine was ready. I asked if my order was ready and they didn't acknowledge me at first. Then I asked if the drink sitting on the counter was a cappucino and without looking they said yes. Then noticing the receipt under it said the name Lisa, so I checked again to ensure I wasn't taking someone else's order (two large groups also there) and they said "maybe they got your name wrong" very dismissively. By this point I took the drink and assumed was mine. I sat back down around 3:10pm and they already started putting chairs up at all the tables around me (50 mins before closing time). I checked the time again to ensure it wasn't me. I have also seen another group come in and ask if they were closed because they saw the chairs on top of the tables. I understand that they want to do some pre-closing as they close within the hour, but between their dismissive way of interacting with people and putting chairs on top of tables near the front of the cafe and directly surrounding a guest who is sitting is so unwelcoming. It would be very different if it were 10, 15 or even 20 minutes before closing, but 50 minutes before closing and on top of being short with customers is just something I haven't experienced before.

The service and place to sit were very nice. The coffee was good, the French toast was the worst I have had and the avocado toast average for the states; avocado was like a guacamole and the bread standard bread (not sourdough). We added the egg extra on top.

Our waitress Renata was awesome. I have Celiac and she was super patient and helpful in answering my questions and checking to see what was gluten free. I went with the veggie omelet with the breakfast potatoes, sliced avocado and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious! Of course I had to try the coffee so I went with the cookie butter cold brew with cold foam. It was a nice flavor with holiday vibes and not too sweet. Overall this place was a 10/10 recommend.

Hello, Me and my wife just drove from Winter Garden to get a cup of your flavored coffee. We arrived at 4:10pm and ordered two cups. We were given non flavored coffee. After discovering we kindly notified the individual behind the counter. Our order was one large and one small. While filling our new cups, the store associate said looks like I only have enough here for one cup, sorry. We aren’t going to brew anymore just for your one cup!!! ***she literally lost her mind!!! I mentioned if she please could since we drove all the way across town from Winter Garden just for this cup of coffee. She immediately snapped and started yelling at me in a harsh tone. I asked if she could at least give me a large and she asked me to leave. I then asked for a refund on the difference in the amount since I paid for a large and received a small. She then said do you really need the .50 cents that bad? And harshly pushed it on me. The next group of guests in line were baffled by what they saw and then asked the employee for name and she refused to share it asking them to leave as well as us saying legally she doesn’t have to give her name. This whole scenario is pretty alarming to me and figured it would be in the best interest of your company to be aware of what took place today as a business owner myself. I would also like to confirm if there is a company policy in place that does not allow new pots of coffee to be brewed within 50 minutes of closing? As well as if pour overs of other select flavors are banned on weekends and only permitted during the weekdays? I’d prefer just to list her name, but since she refused, here is here photo Their coffee is delicious. But served with that attitude makes it undrinkable

1st visit Clean, friendly environment, roomy and plenty of tables for sitting. Wait time for our party was quick!! Note: there's 2 types of waitresses, here. There's Brooke, my waitress who let's you eat and doesn't demand or hoover over you. And there's Jazmin who demands and hoovers over you. Overall, I would recommend eating here.
