Crema's Take

This beloved Corpus Christi spot bridges cultures with freshly baked bread, pastries, and a surprisingly stellar chicken salad that keeps regulars coming back. The owners have created a genuinely warm, homey atmosphere where families linger over coffee and conversation, with generous sandwiches and made-in-house cookies that feel like they're from someone's kitchen rather than a chain. It's the kind of place where the kindness of the staff matches the quality of their food—unpretentious, dependable, and perfect for a slow morning or lunch break.

A great place to get a homemade sandwich for lunch. The combo comes with chips, tea or lemonade and a cookie. The bread and cookie are freshly made on location. Generously made with all the ingredients. Service was good and fast; recommend if you are not familiar with menu to check it out before. The ambiance is a plain restaurant with stable tables and chairs.

I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but good businesses deserve good praise. Not only is the food great - my favorite is the chicken salad on a salad - but the owners and staff are truly so kind. If you're a regular, or even semi-regular, it is almost guaranteed that the owner will greet you by name! In a town as big as Corpus Christi, that's rare. Always fast service, affordable lunch option, and yummy treats.

Homey place with good sandwiches. Vegetarian options and fresh veggies. Doesn't seem very Czech or very Mex, but solid. A little dated, limited menu, didn't live up to their name, but friendly. Good cookies and pastries!
