Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre
263 Main St, Glastonbury, CT
Crema's Take
“Nestled inside a historic seed company building in charming Glastonbury, this café is part of something much larger—a working marketplace where you can browse heirloom seeds, shop local goods, and settle in with excellent coffee and fresh-baked pastries all under one rustic roof. The greenhouse and front seating areas create the perfect unhurried atmosphere for lingering with friends or soaking in the seed-to-table ethos that makes the whole experience feel genuinely connected to something real. Regulars rave about the homemade bakery items (especially those legendary chocolate chip cookies) and the warm, family-friendly vibe that somehow manages to feel both cozy and authentic in a way that's increasingly rare.”

I’m so grateful we stopped here for a little getaway — what a true local gem! 🌿 It has everything: a grocery market, seed shop, café, and a wonderful seed-to-table concept that makes the whole place feel special. The sunroom is absolutely the highlight — bright, peaceful, and just beautiful to sit in. The environment is warm and welcoming, and the cashiers are incredibly friendly. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re nearby. Plus, the espresso is great and the bagels are delicious!
I am a frequent flyer of Heirloom Market and absolutely enjoy the food, coffee and atmosphere here anytime I visit. I love being able to meet friends and hang out in the front or in the greenhouse, or sit at the cafe bar and do work. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and the coffee is good! If you're looking for a cute place to connect with friends and family over fresh, yummy food/coffee or get in focus mode and read/do work, Heirloom is a perfect spot for all of it.
This is such a cute market. They have a sandwich and bakery counter, a coffee counter, and a section full of seed packets. We had a delicious lunch down the road at The Charles so we weren't hungry but we bought their huge chocolate chip cookies and their ginger cookies. They were both delicious! There is a lot of seating inside in multiple rooms and they have nice outdoor tables too.
I visited this adorable little café tucked inside an old rustic marketplace in a charming Connecticut town, and it honestly felt like stepping straight into a cozy fall dream 🍂. The atmosphere is so inviting..warm, rustic, and full of old-town charm. I had the autumn salad (so fresh and flavorful!) and a breakfast quiche that was perfectly baked. I also tried both an iced latte and an iced blueberry matcha..the matcha is a must-try, it’s unique and absolutely delicious! 💙
This place is magical! It’s truly one of the most authentic little places I’ve ever been. I also had THE BEST chocolate chip cookie in my life here, so good that it’s been haunting me ever since. I hope to get here again someday!
