Crema's Take

The Standard Social Market is a charming Madison gathering spot that seamlessly blends café culture with casual dining, earning consistent praise for its warmth and welcoming vibe. Beyond reliable specialty coffee, they're known for standout shareable bites like crispy pretzel sticks with cheese, perfectly executed grilled cheese paired with house soups, and avocado toast that keeps locals coming back—making it equally suited for a quick morning grab or a leisurely brunch with friends. The swanky-yet-approachable atmosphere and attentive service have made it a genuine favorite in the Huntsville area, though you'll want to plan ahead for parking.

Food was quick as was service. Lunch was not very busy. Pretzel sticks were good. Grilled cheese comes with soup of the day, todays was French onion. First time having grilled cheese with that but was still good. Cocktail was OK. Appeared it wasnt make often as bar tender had to look at instructions. Little store also inside, cool concept.

We walked to dinner from our hotel to the Standard Social Market. We were warmly greeted upon walking in and were told to choose where we would like to sit. The restaurant/market has a cute swanky feel to it with a little hustle and bustle. We were given menus that had a lot of great sounding options, as well as kid menus for our children. After ordering our food, I walked around the market and saw quite a few neat items they had for sale, all priced high but felt like everything was of great quality, justifying the pricing. For our meals, I ordered the Rosemary Chicken with green beans and a side salad, and it was so good! My husband got the meat plus 3 and was raving about it the entire time. One of my children ordered the chicken tenders and the other the quesadilla. The kids meals were HUGE! Kids meals in most restaurants can be frustrating with how small the portions are but this was more than enough for one meal, they actually ate the rest for a snack the next day. Our bill with a generous tip came out to be $100. Average of $25 a head for high quality food, large portions, and leftovers felt reasonable. My kids begged to go back the next day before leaving town! We would definitely visit again.

Definitely one of the best places to eat in Huntsville. Parking is not fun, but everything here is awesome and absolutely worth the struggle. The avocado toast is the best, and the pretzel with cheese is wonderful. The chicken wings are great when they are in season, and you cannot go wrong with the salmon bowl, French toast, or the short rib panini. I'm a coffee snob and that is wonderful here as well. . .

We've been here before for brunch and really enjoyed our meal so we knew that the food was good but we were still surprised by how good the dinner was. The drunken fries were super tasty, highly recommend them. The chicken sandwich bun was a bit soggy from the pickles or chicken but it was still very tasty and enjoyable. The drinks availability is quite good and the atmosphere is very nice, we like the restaurant/market vibe they have. We'll definitely be back again for brunch or dinner. Highly recommend trying.

The food was so good!! Such a cute place for a brunch with friends or family. The pretzels and fried pickles were fresh and crispy with flavorful beef cheese and ranch on the sides. My fiancé loved his chicken Caesar wrap with battered fries. Our friend got the steak and eggs- New York strip cooked medium rare and it was cooked beautifully and had a lovely rich flavor. I loved my breakfast plate with sourdough toast and the bacon was juicy! I loved my caramel iced latte, however don’t order the sodas. People must not order those much here because every one that came out tasted off and flat. Our server was kind but it took him quite a while to finally get us everything we asked for and we had to keep reminding him of things. We will definitely be back and I can’t believe I hadn’t been before!
