Came for the coffee and ended up loving the cookies too. They were soft and really flavorful. The place has a nice cozy vibe.

I normally don’t address other reviews, but after reading one older comment accusing this shop of racism, I felt compelled to speak up. The tone and wording of that review honestly came across more entitled than anything else. Based on how it was written, it didn’t even sound like the person approached the situation politely to begin with. Accountability goes both ways. It’s easy for people to throw around serious accusations online, but how we communicate matters too. Now to my experience. I’ve visited Tonle Coffee Shop several times as my work is off the 605 Fwy, and every single visit has been consistently great. Ava and Kenneth are always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. They never rush you, and they make you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. There have been multiple times I’ve walked in and seen the owners themselves behind the counter working. That speaks volumes. A lot of coffee shops don’t have their owners working side by side with staff. Only a select few stay that hands-on and humble. Seeing them actively preparing drinks, cleaning, greeting customers, and running the register tells you a lot about their character and how they treat people. It doesn’t feel corporate or disconnected. It feels intentional and personal. Our go-to order is the Biscoff Croffles and the Mango, Strawberry, and Banana Cream Matcha. Every time, it’s made perfectly. The croffles are warm, crisp, and indulgent without being overly sweet. The matcha drinks are smooth, balanced, and actually taste like quality matcha, not watered down syrup. I would also like to add that their NEW Ube cookie is delicious; especially with that FRESH HALAYA on top! Consistency matters, and they’ve nailed it every single visit. Customer service has always been on point whenever I stop by for matcha. Friendly greeting, quick turnaround, clean presentation, and zero attitude. Just solid service. This place is honestly a hidden Los Alamitos gem 💎 It’s perfectly located if you’re heading toward the 605. Easy stop, DIFFICULT parking during early mornings cause Los Al HS is active, but easier parking after school, and a great pick-me-up before getting back on the road. It’s also ideal for students/WFH employees who need a quiet, welcoming space to sit down, breathe, and get home/office work done without feeling pressured to leave. Before believing negative reviews that immediately jump to heavy accusations, I’d encourage people to visit and form their own opinion. My experiences here have been nothing but positive. Support small businesses that show up consistently and treat people well. Tonle Coffee Shop absolutely deserves it.

This little coffee shop in Los Alamitos is truly a hidden gem and one of my favorite local spots to visit. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it an easy place to stop in and unwind. Their drinks are always on point — I highly recommend the mango matcha and strawberry matcha, and the mango sago is a must-try if you want something sweet and refreshing. Everything feels thoughtfully made and consistently delicious. A big reason I keep coming back is the service, especially Ava, who is always incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming every time I visit. She really helps make the experience feel personal. Kenneth is also great and they always provide great customer service which adds to the overall positive vibe of the shop. Great drinks, great desserts, and genuinely kind staff — definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re in the area!

The girls & I had such a fun time here last night! Everything was perfect, & the service truly made it even better. You all are so sweet & welcoming 💖
