Crema's Take
“Olive's Coffee & Bakehouse captures that perfect blend of a neighborhood gem and a traveler's lucky find, where the early 6am opening means you can catch your coffee as the sun rises over Exeter. The genuine warmth of the staff shines through every interaction, whether you're navigating dietary restrictions with grace or admiring their thoughtfully decorated seasonal pastry cases—their attention to detail extends from adorable Halloween cookies to exceptional specialty drinks like maple syrup lattes. This is the kind of place where a quick grab-and-go transforms into a memorable experience, especially if you snag a spot at their outdoor seating to watch the world wake up with a fresh-baked pastry in hand.”

Today was my first time in and I will DEFINITELY be back!! A friend brought me in to grab coffee and something to eat. I have to be gluten free and at this point I am used to having to pass on food and was planing to just grab a coffee. I was so excited to learn that they not only have gluten free options, but they are delicious!!!! I got a cinnamon muffin, which I haven't been able to eat in forever, and it was the best (and biggest) gluten free muffin I have ever had! Everyone there was so helpful. After ordering I mentioned that I didn't know they had gluten free things here and one of the women was so kind and showed me all of the gluten free options they had. For my first time in they made me feel welcome, had amazing options, and were super helpful. I will most definitely be in regularly!!
Found this place randomly on Google driving home from fenway. They had so many bakery items in the case. The girls working were very kind. A couple of spots to street park in front of the building. I had a great latte too! I would go back if I'm ever in the area again
Love the small attention details. Beautiful and Halloween decorated shot with adorable Frankenstein and Ghost sugar cookies for the season. Friendly staff and great coffee! No indoor seating but still totally worth going and grabbing treats to go or take advantage of the outdoor seating.
Popped into this cute coffee shop on our travels to grab some warm drinks on a chilly fall morning. We ordered a hot Maple Syrup Latte, a hot chocolate, and a chocolate-dipped donut with sprinkles. The drinks were wonderful and the donut, while a little dense, was a tasty sweet treat to pair with our drinks! They had a variety of baked goods, snacks, and breakfast sandwiches, along with a nice selection of gluten-free options. The line was just barely out the door when we arrived, but it moved pretty quick and once we had placed our order, it was only a couple of minutes before we received the drinks and were out the door. Would love to revisit if coming through the area again!
I was so excited to try Olive's Coffee & Bakehouse after seeing it on the map near where I was staying for vacation. I like that they open bright and early at 6am so you can grab a cup around sunrise. I tried their seasonal iced chocolate-covered cherry latte, and oh my, was it delicious! I was not expecting the cherry flavor to come through so strong and taste so real! I didn't get a chance to ask if it was a housemade cherry sauce or if they used a pre-made syrup, but it was delicious, and not too sweet. I wish there was slightly less chocolate flavor just because it did overpower the espresso a bit, but I still enjoyed every sip! I also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese breakfast sandwich on an Everything bagel. The bagel was so soft and fluffy and the bacon was nice and crispy; it was all perfectly balanced and portioned for a nice breakfast! I also wanted to try their signature biscuit, which was a buttermilk biscuit with lemon curd. The biscuit was nice and buttery and soft, but I wish there was more lemon curd! It was only a tiny dollop in the middle on the top, not filled all the way, so it was a bit underwhelming. The next day I came back to try their drip coffee and it was good, but nothing too special. I also felt like the person at the register was kind of annoyed/rushing me (both visits), but the person who was grabbing pastries (both visits) was super friendly. The atomosphere inside was beautiful, and there's a nice large seating lawn outside with Adirondack chairs, benches, and tables. There are a few pesky yellow jackets though which can be annoying. Also, I'm not sure how the parking works there, but there's a very tiny parking lot and when I got there all the cars were double-parked. I was worried about someone blocking me in, so when a spot opened up, I didn't pull in all the way. There's also some non-specified street parking adjacent to the building and some designated street parking in front. I just wish the parking lot were better labeled so I would have felt more confident staying longer. But overall, I did enjoy this place and would reccomend it for sure!
