Crema's Take
“This Fountain Square gem combines Indianapolis's coffee culture with genuine cat companionship in a clean, spacious lounge where friendly felines nap peacefully alongside your pour-over. The staff goes above and beyond—whether squeezing in late arrivals or offering thoughtful local recommendations—creating a welcoming spot that feels equally at home for solo laptop sessions, family celebrations, or leisurely meetups with pastries in hand. It's the kind of place where the cats are as calm and content as you'll want to be.”

They were incredibly sweet when I showed up at the wrong time (two hours late) for our reservation. They saved the day and squeezed us in. Sweetest, sleepiest cats. A sleepy cat is a safe cat! We love the coffee too ❤️
We had a great visit! My daughter loved all the cats! The cat area was clean and spacious! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and made great suggestions about local restaurants and other businesses to visit during our visit. Thanks for an amazing visit!
Took my daughter and my nieces for her birthday. Staff was lovely and the girls had fun with the kitties. I did miss all the cat art that used to be on the walls, but it was still a jolly place.
Very cute little kitty city. We enjoyed our experience, and they are very good about having available hand sanitizer about. The cats themselves are friendly and quiet (at least when we went). The cats tended to gravitate towards one person or they wanted to be left alone, so please be aware if you are bringing children. Or if you are expecting a super hands on experience, they are living beings after all. That said, they have a super cute cafe with a selection of coffees and teas and it never hurts to support local while getting a nice cup of Java! The staff was really friendly and would tell you information about any of the cats. They had two main rooms you can go into and tons of interactive cat toys to use for the kitties.
We visited Nine Lives Café & Cat Lounge in Fountain Square during fall break and had a really good experience. The staff were kind and welcoming, and everything was clean and organized. We booked an hour online ahead of time, which I’d recommend since it makes the check-in simple and guarantees your spot. They had great coffee and a few treats — the kids liked the cake pops and the seasonal s’mores hot chocolate. There’s a separate room for kittens and another “zen room” for older cats, which was quieter and ended up being our favorite. It’s a calm, community-minded space that supports local cat rescues. We’ll definitely go back.
