Hustle & Dough

Crema's Take

Tucked inside the Arrive Hotel on South Main, Hustle & Dough feels less like a coffee shop and more like downtown Memphis's living room, with quirky, artsy decor and plenty of comfortable seating that makes you want to linger for hours. Their espresso program is solid and drinks come out fast, but what really sets them apart is the hospitality—they even make their own dog treats for four-legged visitors, and the whole vibe invites you to settle in with your laptop or a friend without any pressure to rush.

Hustle & Dough isn’t loud, and doesn’t demand attention from the outside of the shop. But the inside is worth 5 stars. Incredible decor and LOTS of comfortable seating. Coffee came out quick, and the service was 5 stars!! Friendly staff who were very hospitable. Coffee gets 4 stars but Avocado Toast gets 5! Connected to a hotel so you’ll have some of people coming and going to people watch!

We had such a lovely experience at Hustle & Dough! I absolutely love that they’re pet-friendly, they even make their own dog treats, and my Frenchie was obsessed. 🐾 The treat was fresh and clearly made with care. The food was delicious. I ordered the seasonal soup with green tea, and it was so comforting and flavorful. My husband had the avocado toast and said it was incredible, fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated, such a great spot whether you’re grabbing coffee, brunch, or bringing your pup along. We’ll definitely be back! 💚

Easily my favorite coffee shop in Memphis. Hustle & Dough on South Main is so much more than a coffee shop — it’s like the living room of our downtown community. I’ve spent countless mornings and afternoons here meeting friends, working, or just soaking in the vibe. The coffee’s incredible (get the Bourbon Mocha — trust me), and the food is next-level. The French toast and avocado toast are both unreal. The space itself is beautiful — seriously one of the most stylish spots in the city. It’s got this perfect mix of Memphis history and modern design — old maps and antiques mixed with clean lines and cozy corners. Whether you’re here to catch up with someone or get a few hours of work done, there’s a perfect spot waiting for you. But honestly, what makes this place special is the people. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and they somehow remember you — you feel like you belong here. And the crowd is always a fun mix — hotel guests, locals, artists, business folks, even the occasional celebrity. It’s just a really special place that brings people together. If you’re in downtown Memphis, this is the spot.

I was told a baked good was gluten-free when it wasn’t, which could have been a serious issue for my celiac son. Our drinks were ordered to go but came in a mug and a glass instead, and one of the two hot drinks was served iced. The space is beautiful, but the service was lacking and the drinks were just okay.

Hustle & Dough is a beautiful cafe that shares space with their bar located in the lobby of the Arrive Hotel. The quirky decor and interior design are artsy and fun! Love the bright colors paired with antique furniture. The host and baristas are all friendly and courteous. I tried their barrel aged bourbon mocha latte and coconut lavender latte. Loved the creativity behind the bourbon mocha—extremely sweet and astringent. I just wished both lattes was topped off with latte art and particularly that the coconut lavender latte was more stronger and concentrated in coffee flavor. The overall drink was quite weak. Definitely a must stop when in downtown Memphis.
