Crema's Take

Tucked into a Sausalito corner, this espresso-focused café pulls some of the city's best specialty drinks—regulars rave about their cardamom-infused creations and what might be the finest flat white you'll find. The real magic happens when you pair one of their impeccable cortados or cappuccinos with a buttery pistachio blackberry croissant or fruit tart, then settle in for a slow, intentional coffee experience that feels genuinely unhurried. With warm counter service and a devoted following that takes their coffee standards seriously, it's the kind of place where both the craft and the hospitality make you want to linger.

I absolutely adore this café! Everything is so delicious, especially the pistachio blackberry croissant and fruit tart paired with their coffee—it’s simply perfect. If you’re visiting San Francisco, this cute and charming café is a must-visit. I highly recommend it!

Listen, I’m Turkish, so my standards for food and hospitality are naturally very high. Trust me when I say this place is the real deal. If you’re used to McDonald’s or Taco Bell, you might not get it—but if you know what real, fresh quality tastes like, you’ll love it. The panini (tost) is incredible, packed with meat and actually satisfying. The staff are genuinely warm in a Mediterranean way, not that fake 'fast food' friendly. Don't listen to the 'Coca-Cola and fries' crowd—this is proper food.

Café Angolo was a pleasant first-time stop for me. I went in a few days ago and ordered a cortado and a panini sandwich, and I enjoyed both. When I arrived, there was a short line and just one person behind the counter, which actually gave me a few minutes to look over the menu and decide. Choosing the cortado was easy; picking a sandwich took a little more thought. When it was my turn, I asked whether they could make an egg sandwich using a panini. The person helping me explained that they only had boiled eggs, which wasn’t quite what I had in mind. I asked for a recommendation instead, and he suggested one of the meat panini options. I wish I remembered the name, but whatever it was, it turned out to be a great choice. After ordering, I paid and was asked to take a seat while the food was prepared. It was a nice day, so I sat outside, sipped my cortado, and watched the steady flow of people along Columbus Avenue. When my sandwich arrived, it hit the spot. The panini was warm and satisfying, with a well-balanced mix of meat and greens—exactly what I’d been craving. Overall, it was a relaxed and enjoyable experience, and I’d happily stop by again when I’m in the neighborhood.

Best coffee drinks in the city. Best flat white I've ever had. Try their specialty coffee drinks with cardamom. Excellent selection of pastries and eats with something that will definitely hit the spot (pan au chocolate? got it. ube croissant? got it. lemon bars? got it). Lots of outdoor seating. Don't miss this wondrous café in North Beach. Restroom for patrons inside the shop.

Adorable little spot right on the corner. Friendly counter service. I got a cappuccino and chocolate hazelnut twice baked croissant and sat outside. Very little indoor seating.
