Freddo Atx
2336 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX
Crema's Take
“Freddo Atx has recently sharpened up into a charming spot housed in a historic Victorian building, where you can sip solid cold brew and creative specialty drinks on a sunny front porch while your dog lounges beside you. The kitchen delivers surprisingly good bites—think smash burgers with kick and avocado toast—making it easy to settle in for hours on the laptop or with friends, though weekend mornings can be hit-or-miss on service. There's a real personality here that goes beyond typical coffee shop fare, especially when happy hour swings by with half-off cocktails and gyros.”

Love all the updates that did to this place. Looks a lot cleaner, sharper, and just more maintained. Still great cold brew and outdoor patio that makes it really fun to work in the sun. Dogs are welcomed, which is awesome. Overall, great coffee shop to hang out at. Update: Internet speed is back to Blazing! Oh yeah. Thank you! Also, the music is always on point, somehow exactly what I need to hear.
Poor service on the morning of Saturday. We went to have breakfast, we were confused about the whole change of the place so we asked about the food and the answer was "I'm getting there " in a very condescending tone. I have worked in the service industry, and in multiple industries I think they need to consider appreciation to clients. Food was fast but the place was empty and a little pricy for what we got.
I ordered the smash burger, which had a little kick to it and was quite good. The coffee was solid, and the avocado toast was also enjoyable. The place itself was cute with a pleasant atmosphere, though nothing particularly special. Overall, a nice spot for a casual bite and coffee.
Food and lattes were delicious; large portions. Loved the historical Victorian charm and reading about the history of the house. Outdoor area is very nice, loved the large front porch. Will definitely come back to watch a UT game once it cools off.
Fun place for coffee, drinks, or a quick bite to eat! The happy hour was great! Half off specialty cocktails and gyros — a great deal. Freddo sandwich was extremely good. The old Victorian house is funky and cool, especially when there’s so many new builds in Austin. This place has old school charm and character. There’s a good size parking lot on site. Huge outdoor patio and comfy couch seating upstairs.
