Crema's Take

This Tallahassee gem stands out as genuinely one of the best cat cafes around, with two spacious, immaculate areas where you can spend a relaxed hour with friendly, playful cats without needing a reservation. The real magic here is in the warmth of both the feline residents and human staff—reviewers consistently praise it as the friendliest cat cafe they've experienced, making it equally perfect for solo studying sessions or hanging out with friends. While the food menu is modest, the drink selection is impressively varied, and the whole vibe leans toward genuine chill rather than Instagram hype.

I have visited a lot of cat cafes, even ones while out of state for vacation and Tally Cat is the best cafe. We visited around 1pm. No reservation needed to spend 1 hour with the kitties, the service was great, and my husband and I ended up paying for an additional hour. As you can see by the photos, I got a lot of snuggling time.

This is the friendliest cat cafe I have ever experienced (cats and humans). Both areas of the cafe are large and clean and well kept. Cannot recommend this place enough if you want a chill spot to hang out.

I've been a few times and it's a good place to study, actually! I volunteer at the local shelter, so I don't really find a need to go inside the cat room. Typically it is not too busy or loud here. The drinks are good, tapioca pearls were not cooked well. Cats are wonderful

As far as food goes, not much can be said from the menu, drinks though, you've got a plethora to choose from, only giving it half 5 stats for food since it is mostly drinks, but the drinks themselves are phenomenal. Especially the Hot Chocolate and seasonal drinks. The atmosphere in the bar area is friendly and approachable, no one ever gives cold glances, everybody is always free to conversate. Along with the cat area, most of the cats are friendly and approachable, some may be hiding and others playing, plenty of seating for multiple groups of people as long as the cats aren't on the seats, I would be careful though since sometimes they can get feisty and scratch your hand if you're not careful. Toys are scattered around if you want to play with the cats too and there are a few games to play with friends too.

Relax and have fun with cats! It's a great place to go either by yourself or with friends/family. They are curious and most are playful (if they aren't napping). There are so many unique toys to engage the cats and spots for them to hide away. You can bring in a drink from the coffee area as long as it's covered & you stay by it. The cat references are so adorable! While you're in the cat area you can sit on the couch, chairs or at the floor. I had a great time in the relaxing atmosphere (never been to a cat cafe before). Also the staff is super sweet & even comes in to take action shots of the cats (unless they're more interested in the camera). One cat even snuggled in a jacket I set on a chair - so cute!
