Crema's Take
“This artist-friendly Minneapolis basement gem doubles as both a music venue and cafe, where excellent sound quality and attentive bartenders create an equally welcoming space whether you're catching live performances or settling in for a leisurely brunch. The vibe is spacious and creative with reasonable prices, making it a favorite gathering spot for touring musicians and locals alike who appreciate both quality drinks and genuine hospitality. This venue sounds amazing. Their techs and bar staff took care of us so well. It means a lot for a touring band.
A great medium sized venue that is very artistic friendly! Sound is amazing and the drinks are cheap. Friendly staff and lots of seating make this venue one of my favorites in the twin cities!
Fun, small venue with great acoustics. Live music performance sounded awesome. Bar had a great array of tequila and prices were very reasonable. Bartender was very attentive and nice.
July Fighter just played there last Saturday. The sound was excellent both on and off stage. The staff members were amiable. I'd suggest dropping by. You can also host your events there. It was an excellent experience for all.
The girls and I decided to do a Brunch at this location. The venue was great. Lots of space. Not a lot of street parking. You may have to walk a few blocks as I did. Let's get to the good stuff, the FOOD! The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. The Catfish, Macaroni and cheese, and Bacon were good. They burnt my Catfish but it was still good.... you can tell from the other Catfish and Grits order mine was a little overdone. We tried a little of everything. Steak, Shrimp and Grits, Chicken and Waffles, Mac n Cheese, Greens, Cheese Grits, Breakfast Potatoes, Eggs, Bacon, and Sausage. The Breakfast Potatoes were horrible! They need to rethink the entire recipe for those. The Grits were not good either. The shrimp on top of the grit was very flavorful. The food looked way better than it tasted. Most of my group either left their food on the table or just took it to go. Most people were not pleased. I truly think the staff was overwhelmed by such a large group. Even though we pre-ordered days in advance the still got a lot of things wrong and forgot items. I honestly believe they tried their best and their best was subpar! The staff was extremely friendly and I loved that. The food prices were fair. The bar only had a small selection. The only good drinks were the Mimosas. I want to give this place another try. They deserve a 2nd chance to get it right. I truly see the potential.
