Crema's Take

This beloved Myrtle Beach institution serves up generous, homemade Southern breakfast and comfort food that keeps locals and visitors returning for the authentic experience and friendly staff. While opinions vary on consistency, the best visits feature impeccable classics like stew beef with mashed potatoes and distinctive Southern sides like home fries, paired with genuinely warm service that makes you feel like family. It's the kind of casual neighborhood spot where you can linger over coffee and conversation or grab a quick, affordable bite of real food that tastes like someone actually cares about cooking it.

When you overhear the staff bad mouthing the customers it does not make you want to go back. Plus the food is actually pretty bad. Burned meatloaf, speckled butter beans that had zero taste, canned green beans, a brocolli casserole that was mush. This is the second time I have eaten here. I had the same feelings the first time but wanted to give it another shot. Wish I hadn’t.

090825 my first time here. The stew beef, mashed potatoes w/gravy, coleslaw slaw & side salad were impeccable! Service was very friendly & interactive, good came out FAST! I WISH I lived here so I could come more often. Everything appears to be made from scratch. I usually seek out "Mom & Pop" type restaurants when I am out of town. You can get national chain restaurant food anywhere. Of ALL the Mom & Pop places i have been to in my life, this may have very well been the best one I have EVER been to. I WILL be back & i will tell all my friends about it! 120825 - back again, brought the family. Great food!

Today was the first time my fiancé and I ate here and let me tell you EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Summer was our waitress. She was personable, friendly and explained the specials, and made some recommendations to us as we didn’t know what to order. There were so many options and at a great price. We watched and noticed as people came and went consistently that her and the staff members addressed folks by name… that says ALOT! I told her “whoever is back there cooking put their pinky toe in that food. I just know someone’s nanna is back there cooking” She laughed and said it was her kids’ grandma (her mama). Baby, let me tell you, that woman can cook! Everything was seasoned well but not salty…chefs kiss. So happy we decided to stop by and we’ll definitely be back. It was a great environment and the highlight of our day. We got some chicken salad and sides to go for dinner which I’m sure will be just as good as everything else we ate when we dined in. Thank you for such great customer service and the delicious country cooking!

Tanya's Country Cafe is an excellent stop for a hearty, large, and cheap breakfast. The menu has multiple different options, some of them very distinct to the South. One of those particular items was livermush which needlesd to say I did not try but heard a lot of positive comments about. Our family enjoyed a variety of items from pancakes, sausage, bacon, sunny side up eggs, French toast, sausage biscuit, home style potatoes, and sausage gravy. Our kids can be picky at times and they ate everything plus more. Everything was fresh, cooked to order, and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were huge in comparison to the price. I would recommend only coming here if you're hungry. This diner-style restaurant had an excellent staff and treated you like you were old friends. We didn't eat lunch here, but they had a large lunch menu with over 25 different side options. The lunch prices also seemed cheap in comparison to what they were offering.

Thank you google for helping us to find this awesome local restaurant! The homemade food is fresh & tasty. Gotta try those home fries for sure for breakfast. Hubby's omelet had a little bit of everything, all delicious. Service is personable & helpful. A return visit will certainly be in order next time we're in town. 👍👍👍
