Crema's Take

Tucked away on Des Moines's south side, this locally owned spot serves up delicious specialty espresso drinks with genuinely creative flavor combinations—the oatmilk spice latte and dragon fruit drink are clear favorites—alongside fresh, quality food like samosas and dumplings. The unassuming space feels cozy and welcoming, with a kind staff who make you feel like you belong, whether you're lingering for a slow sit or catching up with a friend over something memorable.

I've been coming here for the better part of a year now, it's one of my favorite places to treat myself when I go out. Their drinks and food have been consistantly phenominal whenever I go. The owner is lovely and has so much love put into this place. If you enjoy fun, exciting new flavors, or classic favorites, this place does it right. Personal faves are Nepali Chiya and Turmeric hug, I rotate between all 4 fun flavors available. The momos are to DIE for - those have a 10 minute prepare time as they are made to order, but they are so worth it!!!

Unassuming coffee shop; cute but simple decor with a cozy feel. Drinks are spot on with some unique flavor combinations. Highly recommend this locally owned establishment. Oatmilk spice latte is a 'must try' and chocolate croissant a tasty treat!

This place was so good. They are a small place but offer several different types of seating. I had the Chai with oat milk, my friend the dragon fruit drink. Both were great. We had the dumplings and both the chicken and vegetables curry pasties, we finished things off with the chocolate avalanche. Service was cheerful and not intrusive. They are closing a bit earlier in these winteronths at 5pm. They said that they planned to go back to later hours in spring. I would 100% Go back again they are my new favorite place.

This place is good enough to make me wish I lived on the south side. I can't believe I didn't know about it before. DELICIOUS speciality espresso drinks and the freshest samosas.in town. They even have a "samoich," which is spinach, brie, tamarind and a flattened samosa on a brioche bun. Absolutely incredible. If you didn't already feel that your life needed a Nepali coffee shop, you should now. Just the best. Can't recommend it enough.
