Crema's Take
“Tucked into Brooklyn, this bookstore café and bar transforms throughout the day, starting as a morning coffee destination with thoughtfully crafted drinks and seasonal small plates from chef Lane, then evolving into an evening wine bar that celebrates female winemakers. The walls lined with books create an inviting atmosphere perfect for lingering over coffee or hosting intimate gatherings, and the staff's genuine warmth and knowledge make regulars out of first-time visitors. It's the kind of place that rewards spontaneous drop-ins—whether you're craving a perfectly made espresso drink, a generous bowl of corn pudding, or a glass of natural wine surrounded by literary vibes.”

Cute spot with some outdoor seating, I love their walls of books. The happy hour menu for food isn’t as great as the cafe menu; the smoked trout dip was tasty but so small in portion.
I had seen this spot a few times while walking by and each time had took a mental note to check it out. Before going for early voting, I stopped in with my husband for a bite and a coffee. It is the most adorable, cozy place! From the warm greeting we got when we took a seat, to surrounding company of books, this felt like a place you could spend hours hanging out. The labneh with dill toast was absolutely delicious and so was the egg sandwich. I definitely will be back for an evening drink and bite, as I imagine this atmosphere only gets better at that time.
We came in at 5ish on a weekend and the place was packed! People drinking coffee and starting to drink wine as well. The staff was so friendly. They highlight female winemakers and were able to talk us through all the different wineries on the menu. The food was also delicious. We had the smoked trout dip.
The food is phenomenal! Chef Lane changes the menu based on what is fresh and in season. We were lucky enough to get the last of the corn pudding. In my experience, everything he makes is a symphony of flavors. This place has many cool things going on, but don’t sleep on the food!!!
Such a great opening in the area! Bookstore cafe & bar with great food and great coffee. Looks like they had a reading from a new book launch with the author last night, can’t wait to attend one of those! Staff is kind and knowledgeable, space is eclectic and welcoming. Wishing success and good energy to this new biz!
