Crema's Take

Venture is a genuine third place in Boone that seamlessly blends house-made chocolate, specialty coffee, and wine into one inviting retreat—think Italian café tucked into a mountain town. Beyond the excellent espresso drinks, their in-house sipping chocolate and artisanal confections are the real draw, paired with a newly expanded space that includes a library, tea bar, and outdoor deck that feels intentionally designed for lingering. Whether you're stopping in for an after-dinner treat, setting up your laptop for the afternoon, or meeting someone special, the warm service and cozy atmosphere make it feel less like a shop and more like a beloved local secret.

The chocolate is top notch and the service is amazing. Our favorite spot just got better when they added more seating, a library, a tea bar, and an outside deck. The new space is very cozy and inviting. We love this spot. We highly recommend.

Me and my boyfriend came here tonight and loved it! The upstairs features a chocolate bar, with chocolates made in house! They also offer coffees and sipping chocolate, which I tried and it was super creamy, rich, and delicious! Upstairs, they also sell books, dried flowers, infused olive oils, and other goods. It's a super cute study spot for students! Downstairs, they have a more upscale seating area, with booths and tables throughout the room. I got the Chocolate Martini, which was divine - super creamy and chocolatey, with a nice kick at the end. I also ordered a 'Merry and Bright' cocktail, which had (I believe) gin, grenadine, some kind of apple cider/syrup, lime juice, and was topped with a rosemary sprig. It was very fresh and boozy. My boyfriend got the Spiced Cider and it was the perfect temperature to sip on, with whisky and cinnamon to top it off. For food, we ordered the ciabatta bread with olive oil and balsamic and the parmesan twists with everything seasoning. Both were super light and the perfect pairing to some drinks. We also got a créme brûlée, which was the best I have ever had. The creamiest inside, it felt like I was eating air. The sugar was the perfect pairing to crack into the custard, and I could have eaten 5 of them. We will absolutely be back again soon and will recommending to everyone!!

Do yourself a favor and wander into Venture Wine & Chocolate Bar the cozy little hideaway that feels like stumbling upon a tucked-away Italian café, right in the middle of town. ✨ The house red was everything you want in a glass of wine robust, palatable, and the kind that makes you close your eyes just to savor it. Pair it with their grape, brie, and arugula appetizer and you’ll swear you’ve discovered the secret to happiness. Every bite was a little love song juicy grapes, creamy brie, and that peppery bite of arugula all dancing together in perfect harmony. The service? Friendly and attentive without ever rushing you. The vibe? Dreamy and intimate, with just the right amount of whimsy to make you want to linger for “just one more glass.” Whether you’re in the mood for wine, chocolate, or even a late-night coffee indulgence, this place has you covered. In short: Venture isn’t just a bar it’s an experience. Go once, and you’ll find yourself plotting your return before the last sip. 🍷🍫☕

Tasty place to check out for that after dinner sweet tooth snack or that cup of coffee/ a glass of wine with friends or first date. I’m quite impressed with the service, as well as, the sleek atmosphere created. It’s to the point and spacious. Especially if it’s not peak season. There is Something is left to be desired, maybe you can put your finger on it. Though I really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be visiting again. We didn’t get to try downstairs as there was work being done.

Arguably best in Boone (from a local) Our sandwiches (one vegetarian and one meat) were phenomenal. Our bill would have been $25 except i purchased their amazing homemade sipping chocolate and my son had their creme brulee, which was their owner's mother's recipe. Extraordinary. The atmosphere was stellar. They have a menu with charcuterie selections. A wine bar is downstairs with a homemade chocolate bar.
