Fluffy Fluffy Cafe

Their signature pancakes are amazing! Just like the name 'Fluffy Fluffy' suggests, they are so soft, airy, and rich in egg flavor. Honestly, they’re so tender you wouldn't even need teeth to eat them! The yellow-themed interior is also super cute and cozy. I’m definitely coming back to try the Tiramisu pancakes next time.

So delicious!! I'm in town with friends, and we had just had a fabulous dinner. I thought some coffee would be nice and stumbled across fluffy, fluffy. We shared the Basque cheesecake and the tiramisu fluffy Pancake. They were both so light and delicious. We thought we would only have a bite or 2 and bring the rest home 😂

As a long-time Fluffy Fluffy fan, I've frequented their metro Atlanta locations from Tucker to Buford. Naturally, I was hyped for the Fluffy Fluffy Doraville grand opening. I even shared the news across my socials! While the brand is known for its iconic Japanese soufflé pancakes, my experience at this new storefront was a mixed bag of stunning aesthetics and culinary misses. The Doraville location is a visual dream. The signature tree in the center of the cafe creates a warm, homely, and inviting vibe. The brand-themed furniture is comfortable, making it a perfect spot for content creators. We took plenty of photos under the outdoor signage and inside the cafe. The staff greeted us with high energy and enthusiasm, which is always a great sign for a new business. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. The namesake of the brand is the "jiggle." Unfortunately, the pancakes on my sandwich were flat and lacked the signature airy texture I've grown to love at other locations. My cousin noted that while the flavor profile was there, the pancakes were similarly flat and the chicken was tough. The Jalapeño Chicken Pancakes were a miss. Surprisingly, the tater tots were the standout highlight of my meal. Cooked perfectly and crispy. The Oreo Croffle took some time. After a 20-minute wait, the croffle arrived looking photo-ready, but the texture was tough and overcooked, making it difficult to cut. Another disappointment. The mango refresher was good. A solid, refreshing drink that hit the mark with fresh mango pieces. When I shared my concerns regarding the Oreo Croffle, the staff was kind enough to offer a slice of cheesecake as a replacement. While the gesture was appreciated, the cheesecake was "mid" and didn't quite make up for the core menu disappointments. Leaving the restaurant, I chatted with other patrons who shared similar sentiments--one family noted they were "distraught" by the meal, finding solace only in the promotional t-shirts. While Fluffy Fluffy Doraville has the bones of a 5-star cafe, the kitchen consistency isn't there yet. The desserts are exceptionally delicious, with a delicate and smooth texture. The interior of the store is upscale and cozy, it’s a perfect spot for friends to gather and chat. They also offer breakfast. I will definitely be back.

I love this new location! There’s ample seating with three sets of large-group booth spaces (for groups of 5+). They have WiFi too, so you can grab some food & coffee and work from here for a bit when it’s not busy. *currently in soft opening through 1/22. Deal: 10% off your bill. Sign up online for their grand opening specials/freebies from 1/23-25. They have new all-day brunch items including an avo toast croffle, soufflé pancake eggs benedict, and soufflé pancake breakfast sandwich! I tried the breakfast sandwich and liked it! My only note for improvement is the fluffiness of the soufflé pancakes; the batter needs to be whipped more (maybe?) so that they’re taller and have their signature jiggle. Give them some grace as they go through soft & grand opening; it’ll be so busy next week, so set your expectations accordingly. They weren’t as fluffy as I’ve had in the past, but I’m chalking it up to a skill/practice issue that can be resolved over time.
